Apple really should consider bringing Watch support to Android, I bet they'd sell even more given the sorry state of WearOS and the dusty old chips Qualcomm has been providing.
don't you just hate when companies have monopoly on their product?! but don't worry — you'll be allowed to not buy one. i hope...I’m guessing since Apple has a monopoly on the Apple watch, it, too, shall soon be deemed “essential”![]()
c'mon you know that's not true. it's like saying that the 7 series is competition for z4. both cars, in fact — both bmw cars, but serve different purposesRolex.
I don't consider $79 dollars to be quite high, especially for someone who is properly trained and won't tear up the watch replacing the battery. The Apple Watch battery replacement cost is quite high out of warranty. Wish it's lower.
So I decided to get AppleCare+ for my SE, which is the lowest out of all models?
Better than holding a cell phone next to your brain most of the day.I always wonder if there are long term effects from having a cellular device on my wrist 22 hours a day.
Where is the competition for the Apple Watch, that is actually good?
It's ok, I still laugh. One day I might get one though, it's just not there yet for me. I'm glad lots of people find use in it though.Remember when everybody laughed when it launched? Oops.
That feature can be turned off in settingsBeing asked to Breath and Stand all day long.
Yeah, you are not the market.I am one of those that felt the Apple Watch will flop-and I would like to remind how it was advertised as a luxury item not a gadget with designer like Hermes- maybe it could continue to exist like a niche or smaller product like Apple TV but its not going to be the next big thing. 100 million is a smashing success.
I do not understand why would people want to wear an Apple watch when most of them carry a smartphone. I could see it succeed if they still had a Nokia phone, but the smartphone that is always with me any way can do much more than this watch that is stranded on my wrist. I do not get it...but people will be people...
For me it’s all about the fitness features. I’m on my third watch. I bought the first one expecting to use the screen a ton, never happened. What I paid for the watch is a great value to me if it helps and encourages me keep fit.I do not understand why would people want to wear an Apple watch when most of them carry a smartphone. Agreed. It’s pretty sad.Like so many other Apple products, the only real competition they face is from older versions of the same product category.
There isn't any, IMO. I recently tried, and tried hard, to find one.Where is the competition for the Apple Watch, that is actually good?
To each their own, but I don't get this "watches should be round" thing. Of course they had to be round when we told time by way of mechanical or electo-mechanical watches and clocks with physical hands. But that's so last-century. Not that there isn't a place for them. For dress wear I'm still inclined to don my gold Citizen watch. But, for a "watch" that's also a wrist-worn data device, rectangular is a much more efficient shape. That graphic with a ROUND watch looked promising…🥺
I don't know, but, when I recently considered replacing my Apple Watch with a FitBit I was soon dissuaded after reading all the horror stories of poor reliability, a complete lack of post-warranty repair, and unspectacular build quality.Where does Fitbit fall?
Indeed. I upgraded my Series 1, Gen. 2 to an SE. Love it.The SE was a very good move. Stripped away the fancy features and made an affordable "core" model.
They have a lot more moving to do. I tried a Garmin Venu Sq. Took it back after two days. Not nearly as readable in sunlight, inaccurate HR measurement. Erratic and inaccurate blood oxygen measurement. Utterly worthless vibration and chime.Love my Apple Watch, but happy to see a local to me company, Garmin (shout out to Olathe, KS!), ...
Presumably they believe having the best smart watch on the market will encourage more people to go with an iPhone than they will make from supporting the Watch on Android. For me, that is unfortunate, because I will almost certainly be moving back to Android. Being as there's no acceptable replacement for my Apple Watch, that means I'll no longer be wearing a smart watch.Apple really should consider bringing Watch support to Android, ...
Unlike iOS and Android there are many alternatives to the Apple Watch, although Apple might not be helping that case by bragging about being "the only consumer device to take an ECG"...I’m guessing since Apple has a monopoly on the Apple watch, it, too, shall soon be deemed “essential”![]()
