lol i didnt really force it, i tried for like 5 seconds (cuz i didnt want to have to get my burner replaced.....again lol) to see if i could get it off, what if its glued on tho?

HackSaw or maybe a chainsaw. :D

Really you can pick up a fast CD burner for less then $40 that is fully compatible with iTunes and DiscBurner.
 
actually its a dvd rom drive lol, i can live without a 2nd drive for a while, and i'll try looking around and half a year after i get the powermac i might get a 40x burner or something....

a lil off topic question, what ever happened to the dvd ram model powermacs?

I just think that DVD-Ram wasn't as popular as the SuperDrive so they discontinued it.
 
hmm thats wha i thought lol, i heard stevie got apple to patent it or something...but it does seem pretty slow, theres dvd ram drives being sold on a computer store website i usually go to...but theyre like $800 CDN..pretty expensive for a dvd ram drive lol
