If the had made the rest of the case from plastic (maybe similar to the clear/white on the G5 iMacs) it would have been perfect, but so it's too much half&half.

The G4 gigabit i own. Every night when the sleep slight flashes, i get a glimpse of the curve of the side panels, and think, what a beautiful machine.

Id kill for a G4 iMac too.

The Cube for me. It was the first Mac I owned. When I was thinking about switching from the PC world, back in 2003, I picked the Cube as my starter/try-out machine, figuring it would have good resale value. I loved it, and did every upgrade you could to it. I finally sold that one :( so that I could buy a Powermac G5, but I regretted the Cube so much that I've bought three more since then, two of which I've resold. This one, I'm keeping for good, and it still soldiers on, reliably, silently, and beautifully, more than ten years after it left the factory. :D

The iMac G4 20" is a pleasure to look at and use, nothing comes close. The amount of time and money I spent on converting a broken 20" G4 into a core i5 hackintosh was absolutely worth it. I think about how crazy it would be to put that effort into any other design for a computer. But, the G4 is unlike any other computer that came before it or has been produced since

Hands down the Power Mac G5 and Titanium Powerbook range.

Both machines excelled in terms of engineering, design and just pure craftmanship. When you look at the G5, it just eminates raw power, almost like a power plant or X Labs development. Advanced cooling, the huge heatsinks and the all metal design do it for me. It's imposing. It's powerful.

The Titanium Powerbook similarly eminates fine engineering, from it's insane thinness to the screen that just seems to float. The bezels were practically non existant, while the titanium construction gives it a space age feel.

At one point I did own both machines concurrently, however for various reasons they had to be sold. Time to get them back

I loved the iMac G3 and the Clamshell iBook G3, I really wish there were some nice looking, colourful computers around like them today. Apple's current range seem incredibly soulless compared to the G3 and G4 eras in terms of design. Everything is so grey. Everything, from the metal the machines are made from, to Lion, which is so colourless it makes going back to Windows 7 and its customisable colour schemes a joyous experience.
