I've enjoyed Geometry Wars most out of all the games I've purchased. I have always loved it on my xbox and was very pleased to see it released for iPad. I reached number 22 on the Evolved leader board earlier. I'm hoping for the first spot soon.

Geometry Wars looks cool, but some unknown force is stopping me from buying it. Probably because it looks cool, but not quite $10 cool...

The gameplay is more than $10 cool. Also NOVA HD dropped in price to $7.

It's more the $10 cool....it's digital crack cool. Seriously, I'd recommend picking this one up. There are 6 or 7 game types each with an online leaderboard. It's one of those games you get addicted to and can pick up at anytime.

I bought Geometry Wars and it wouldn't run on my 64gb WiFi while I had it. It just crashed a few seconds after it loaded.

I read some reviews that said the background music was horrid and the game controls left a lot to be desired. What is your experience?

NOVA HD is a first-person-shooter game, isn't it? Is it supposed to be very good?

The great thing about NOVA is that you can customize the controls and move the control icons wherever you wish on the screen. This game is meant for the iPad and you would have to be crazy to skip it...maybe not crazy lol, so I recommend taking the plunge. :D

I don't mind the music. What I like about the controls is it doesn't have fixed joysticks. Anywhere you touch the joystick appears so no matter where your fingers are you'll have control and you can have your thumbs wherever is comfortable for you. The one thing I don't like is the bomb is in the middle of the bottom part of the screen so it makes it hard to use the bombs.

NOVA is great. It's a Halo like FPS with great graphics and gameplay. Also the multiplayer is a lot of fun as well when you're done with the single player.

tap tap revenge looks AWESOME, and its free. I like mirrors edge, its fun and looks decent. NFS shift looks really nice, but its not worth the 15, its upgraded graphics from the iphone version. I want to get call of duty, but i have the same gripe with it as i do with nfs.

I tried Tap Tap Revenge... it looked pretty good, but was kinda boring... :)

I had Tap Tap on my iPod Touch for a while. It kept popping up useless messages about songs I didn't care about so I finally deleted it. On the iPad, when I install an app, if it asks to send me push notifications I almost always say no, especially for free apps which are more likely to push advertising.

Right now I like the roller coaster app (I'll figure out the title later and update my post). You don't have to build your own coaster. You can ride dozens of coasters uploaded by other users. Some of them are a waste but some are pretty good.

I agree that for gorgeous, anything porn and porn related is most gorgeous.

For fun, real racing HD. However I want to try plants versus zombies.

For all you turn based sim players...

Civilization : Revolution
NOTE: The iPhone version is cheaper and plays well in 2x mode. The iPad version is p-r-i-c-e-y and you don't get much except an expanded view. But it's one of my favs.

For all you Puzzle fanatics...
Chapter 2 Mahjong Aritfacts...Mahjong but with very good graphics and an attempt at a storyline.

For you Free-bo players...
Paper Toss, Paper Football, Removem 2, and Shroom HD

Suck-Ass games (YMMV..I didn't like them AND I paid for them :( )
Sherlock Holmes Mysteries
10 pin
DeerHunter

I have Brothers-in-Arms : Hour of the Heroes that I got free when it first came out...No lag, ok graphics, virtual joysticks. COD:Zombies can lag but it's basically the same.

Anyone else got some input? I like sim games and stuff like PuzzleQuest (hint..hint..)

I got a marbles game called PartyPlace and it looks pretty nice and it's fun (especially with multiple people all flinging marbles at the same time), but every few games it crashes and the iPad has to be rebooted.

I saw the upcoming Brothers in Arms game footage on the Gameloft Video Podcast for the iPad, Has new iPad features and looks gorgeous.

My faves that were meant for the iPad are:

Plants vs. Zombies HD - incredibly addictive, I'm going through adventure mode a 2nd time, and working my way through the mini games.

Mirror's Edge - LOVE the parkour aspect of this game. The only letdown is that it only has 6 main stages...could've been a little longer.

Flight Control HD - very nice upgrade from the iPhone original. Extra space for new airports onscreen increase the challenge.

A few games I still enjoy playing the original iPhone versions:

Assassin's Creed - Altaïr's Chronicles - Still VERY fun to play at 2x, even though the graphics aren't perfectly sharp.

Doodle Jump - Classic. I kinda hope they make a universal binary so that iPhone owners don't have to buy it again, but I might be willing to pay a few bucks for an iPad edition...

Just out of curiosity, what is the purpose this post?

Are you recommending a game you haven't played or just asking? Why would you ask in a thread that is actually requesting recommendations?

Sometimes I wonder why I keep coming to back these forums.

Seeing that it's becoming more and more comprised of unhelpful, catty pointscorers like you, I wonder the same.

People like you are the reason I hardly delve into these forums

Go back a couple of years, and this used to be such a nice place...
