In reality, how many people utilize their phone to it's full capacity?

I think that's a dead on accurate appraisal. I know for a fact I'm not using my droidx fully. I don't watch movies on it, I play maybe a couple of games and my main reason for a smart phone is email (and making phone calls).

iTunes App Store > All those specs listed.

Seriously, what good are all those specs if they have such an anemic development community providing crapps for the device? When I use one of our Android phones, sure I can find apps out there that mimic what I can do with iPhone Apps. But that's the key word...mimic. The Android Marketplace suffers from a severe case of Shareware-itis....most apps look and behave like they were written by rank amateurs. At least with the App Store, although there are some stinkers in the mix, most apps have high production values.

Its about the apps, not the specs.

And besides.....I still think battery life is the Achilles heel of ALL smartphones. Battery tech just isn't keeping up with all these big screens and the HTC EVO demonstrated that in spades.

Hmm... If you were saying The iPhone 4/5 is the Killer of Motorola Bionic, then probably it's true. The iPhone 4/5 already killed Motorola Bionic...

Is the Bionic even released yet?

The fact of the matter is that Apple doesn't appear in CES since god knows when and everything everyone does (smartphone related) they compare it to the iPhone. Apple has done with 3 models of the iPhone what companies with dozens of models every year can only dream about. Every "iPhone Killer" bows downs to the king.

Benefits: Video calling without wifi, 4g speeds, larger resolution, better service, more memory, HDMI output, real voice Turn by Turn Navigation, and Voice to Text.

The only reason as to why I would get an iPhone again, is cause of all the apps I have (126 and counting). But, I do plan on getting an iPad (hoping that once the 2nd Gen comes out, the 1st Gen gets a price drop).

Is this something built in like FaceTime? Or is this like Qik? If it's a third-party solution then isn't the exact same thing available for iPhone through Skype and Fring?

The Bionic comes with Skype 2.0, and you can automatically video chat with people, by just clicking the contact information (from what i understood, you don't need a skype account to use it).

The difference with the Bionic and the iP4, is that the iP4 facetime is only done on wifi, whereas the Bionic could be done anywhere with its 4G.

You fail to realize that Skype has an iPhone App as well. Works over 3G.

The G1 came out in, what, 2008? Allow me to quote old articles and list iPhone killers from 2007. ;)

There must've been more but I'm already overwhelmed by the number of attempted murders on the iPhone, and that's just from 2007.
Yup. It's been proven time and time again. The only true iPhone killer, is a newer, better iPhone.

There's no such thing as an "iphone killer." People who like android will buy the Bionic because it's the best android phone yet. But it's still android, and for many of us, that's just a non-starter compared to iOS.

That's a pretty far-fetched claim. Negotiations for the announcement schedule of the Verizon iPhone was done last year and they must've prepared all thing well ahead of time; it has nothing to do with whatever happened in the CES unless you're claiming Apple has some clairvoyance to precisely see the "Android's thunder" before that happened.

not to mention that the verizon iphone doesn't even technically exist yet, so i dont know how you could call it recently announced

I'm pretty sure that if it's being announced Tuesday that it technically exists.

Now, you could say that we don't technically "know" if it exists. But since you don't know if it exists or not, you can't say it doesn't.

Cool, I smell a development opportunity.

Care to share examples of what you mean? What are the names of some equivalently targeted apps that you found to be better on iOS (or Android)?

Thanks! (Personally I haven't found this to be the case, so I must not be looking at the right apps.)

Ok, show me an iMovie clone on Android.

if it is it is! if it isn't it isn't! one day there will be. I always find these Iphone killer threads funny considering the iPhone isn't number 1 and never has been. it's like saying your country will destroy the 3rd most powerful country who says that. were going to beat the 3rd best in a sport. oh well TS have fun with your thread just search Iphone Killer and see the list that comes up.

As impressive as the iPhone is, the Motorola Bionic just looks amazing.

Quick Look at the Specs

iPhone 4 Screen Size: 3.5 inches
Moto Bionic Screen Size: 4.3 inches

iPhone 4 Dimensions: 4.50 x 2.31 x 0.37
Moto Bionic Dimensions: 4.96 x 2.63 x 0.54

iPhone 4 Weight: 4.8 Ounces (137 Grams)
Moto Bionic Weight: 5.35 Ounces (152 Grams)

iPhone 4 Internet: 3G
Moto Bionic Internet: 4G (10x Faster)

iPhone 4 Webpages: Supports HTML5
Moto Bionic Webpages: Supports HTML5 and Flash

iPhone 4 FaceTime: WiFi Only
Moto Bionic Video Chat: 4G (Anywhere!)

iPhone 4 Resolution: 960 x 640
Moto Bionic Resolution: 960 x 540

iPhone 4 Capacity: 16GB or 32GB Flash Drive
Moto Bionic Capacity: 16GB On Board (& Up to 32 GB microSD: 48GB Total)

iPhone 4 Camera: 5 Megapixel
Moto Bionic Camera: 8 Megapixel
(Although, the Bionic has more pixels, Apple has proved that higher pixel count does not equal to better quality)

The list can go on. Some more great features is that the Bionic has an HDMI output that can playback full 1080p.

I think what sold me about the Bionic, is the 4G, the Huge display, the great provider, and being able to Video Chat anywhere!

Honestly, I haven't owned an iPhone since the 3G (or was it the 3GS, i forgot), but if/when the iPhone comes out to Verizon, I'd rather get the Bionic (that is, IF I can afford it: $50 Internet?!!)

Also, the HTC Thunderbolt, and the Motorola Atrix 4G are also possible iPhone 4/5 Killers.

Any thoughts?

Hate to burst your bubble, but there will never (any time soon) be an iPhone killer.

The power of Apple is just too strong.

The only way there would be an iPhone killer is if Apple majorly screwed something up (im talking major).

Ok, show me an iMovie clone on Android.

Excellent! That's a good marketing void right there. I see lots of searches on that topic. (Google has an online YouTube video editor, but it doesn't work with mobile devices yet. Did Apple write iMovie for iPhone?)

What else? You said there was a lot of apps you couldn't find.

(Everything I use on iOS has an Android equivalent that's as good or better. eBay, USAToday, Pulse, NPR, Yelp, Books, Kindle, Evernote, OpenTable, Kayak, FlightTrack, TripAdvisor, Angry Birds, world cams, kids games, you name it. Plus Google apps like YouTube, Goggles, Layars, Earth, Navigation. But that's me, and I'm sure I don't represent everyone.)

As impressive as the iPhone is, the Motorola Bionic just looks amazing.

Quick Look at the Specs

iPhone 4 Screen Size: 3.5 inches
Moto Bionic Screen Size: 4.3 inches

So it has a screen that's way to big for a phone

iPhone 4 Dimensions: 4.50 x 2.31 x 0.37
Moto Bionic Dimensions: 4.96 x 2.63 x 0.54

It's huge

iPhone 4 Weight: 4.8 Ounces (137 Grams)
Moto Bionic Weight: 5.35 Ounces (152 Grams)

It's heavier

iPhone 4 Internet: 3G
Moto Bionic Internet: 4G (10x Faster)

more than likely so will the iphone in June

iPhone 4 Webpages: Supports HTML5
Moto Bionic Webpages: Supports HTML5 and Flash

So it will have a crappy battery life and crash half the time you're on the web

iPhone 4 FaceTime: WiFi Only
Moto Bionic Video Chat: 4G (Anywhere!)

Skype

iPhone 4 Resolution: 960 x 640
Moto Bionic Resolution: 960 x 540

So it's a smaller resolution on a bigger screen

iPhone 4 Capacity: 16GB or 32GB Flash Drive
Moto Bionic Capacity: 16GB On Board (& Up to 32 GB microSD: 48GB Total)

Half the size of the iphone unless you mess about with memory cards and have two separate storage spaces to divide between

iPhone 4 Camera: 5 Megapixel
Moto Bionic Camera: 8 Megapixel
(Although, the Bionic has more pixels, Apple has proved that higher pixel count does not equal to better quality)

You said it

These are my thoughts
