i think the way we will know the iPhone killer is in the name...

"Droid," failed

"Bionic," will fail

I expect in about May we will see the "Terminator" model, complete with TV spots of the phone actually holding a shotgun and blowing away iPhones.

It will fail.

The "T-1000" phone scares me though.

Android phones, the perfect phone for males with inadequacy issues and a love of bad CGI ads. (note to said males, the benchmark score of your phone will NOT increase your penis size)

Excellent! That's a good marketing void right there. I see lots of searches on that topic. (Google has an online YouTube video editor, but it doesn't work with mobile devices yet. Did Apple write iMovie for iPhone?)

What else? You said there was a lot of apps you couldn't find.

(Everything I use on iOS has an Android equivalent that's as good or better. eBay, USAToday, Pulse, NPR, Yelp, Books, Kindle, Evernote, OpenTable, Kayak, FlightTrack, TripAdvisor, Angry Birds, world cams, kids games, you name it. Plus Google apps like YouTube, Goggles, Layars, Earth, Navigation. But that's me, and I'm sure I don't represent everyone.)

That's the issue with this discussion. My needs/wants aren't likely the same as yours.

Hipstamatic and Camera + are two others that, while you can find apps that mimic them on the Android, they aren't anywhere near as robust or fully integrated to social media sites, etc.

Momento is another good example; the only comparison I can find on the Android side with even a third of the similar functionality is Diaro for Android. The flat journal/diary entry pieces are mimicked on Diaro, but it is missing so many of the natural social/blogging site integration models that come native with Momento. I will give Diaro props for having one of the better Android UX models I've encountered. Most are so jarringly bad that you have to dig several layers deep to find the functionality.

As impressive as the iPhone is, the Motorola Bionic just looks amazing.

Quick Look at the Specs

iPhone 4 Weight: 4.8 Ounces (137 Grams)
Moto Bionic Weight: 5.35 Ounces (152 Grams)

(Although, the Bionic has more pixels, Apple has proved that higher pixel count does not equal to better quality)

The list can go on. Some more great features is that the Bionic has an HDMI output that can playback full 1080p.

I think what sold me about the Bionic, is the 4G, the Huge display, the great provider, and being able to Video Chat anywhere!

Honestly, I haven't owned an iPhone since the 3G (or was it the 3GS, i forgot), but if/when the iPhone comes out to Verizon, I'd rather get the Bionic (that is, IF I can afford it: $50 Internet?!!)

Also, the HTC Thunderbolt, and the Motorola Atrix 4G are also possible iPhone 4/5 Killers.

Any thoughts?

Haha it's funny because you are dead serious.

i had some time with the thunderbolt and bionic at CES and the Bionic is not as smooth as my EVO as it has a moto skin on it. The thunderbolt was fine, but similar to the EVO. Once they get 2.3 they will be better and run smoother. Overall top to bottom throughout apps, my iPhone 4 is still smoother. Data speeds will be a different story as LTE is going yo be nice.
