Im not an expert or a 3g user so someone else will probably give a better answer, but the extra 3g/gps hardware has some extra baseband firmware in it and when its updated along with the normal iOS it creates some kind of conflict and prevents downgrading.

I thought you could downgrade if the baseband wasnt changed between firmwares though?

Obviously I dont really know, hehe.

I just did the jb on my 4.3.3 iPad and after opening cydia and installing I noticed that saurik just released an update for his repo.

(In fact, @comex is in /such/ a hurry that his new jailbreak will have a poorly tested kernel driver in it. :( I'd wait a week to use it...)

hours and we are going crazy, if we wait another week then we will rampage and suicide (uhm wtf?)

btw anyways...
i doubt anyone will that impatient unless comex announces it himself

I can't wait until 4.3.4 comes out and I have to restore to 4.3.4 when I muck my iPad up. We love you apple :)

I've seriously spent over $200 in the app store, and I continue to buy all if my iOS software, why can't apple just let some of us have a pass, it's not even like it's ios5

Normally I would listen to saurik, but I have been waiting for over 3 months for this, so as soon as I can see it hits, I am doing it. I can always restore if, God forbid, something happens. I have my SHSH saved for 4.3.3

Can someone explain to me what exactly that means and how that affects my jailbreak when it does come out

Just means that the kernel driver wasn't tested well enough. However this could affect anything really. (nothing bad, maybe just a few bugs). But other then that you should be fine.

Well it's nearly half midnight in uk, I am off to bed and fingers crossed for the morning!

Means the jailbreak may POSSIBLY be error prone.

So basically it will be like when I jailbreak it there might be some errors here and there? But as far as installing some cydia apps(Its not like I install many, just a few) after they are installed everything should be fine? Now how about this Safari issue..I guess this will be resolved when the official jailbreak comes out..and the long boot time not sure if that is still a problem

More along the lines of, apps that normally didn't crash may now crash, both legit and cydia apps. Simplest way to put it.

Basically what saurik is saying is this jb isn't fully baked, and there may be issues we will have to live with while they are being patched.

Put it this way though, I'm willing to be a guinea pig!
