Well, there's one correct pick for me.

Unfortunately, the other game remains a back-and-forth affair. I thought Memphis was on the verge of pushing their lead to at least a handful, but it wasn't to be.

Edit: And there's the second one.

***breathes huge sigh of relief and composes self for second set of games***

Yeah, not sure how the officials managed to take 1.1 seconds off the clock.
Best I could tell, there couldn't have been zero seconds from 3.1 with an inbounded ball which was deflected and hit the floor. The refs studied the monitor, and got it right imo.

All right I just got back from class - somebody tell me what I missed!
You're 2-0 on your bracket, so far tonight. :) Two toughly fought and great games. Kansas had all it could handle with SIU, down to the wire. I think the lead changed like 18 times in the Memphis - A&M game. One point game, down to the last 2 seconds.

The Vols are raining 3s (6-8) against OSU, right now.

Whelp. Ohio St. is not facing Xavier or C. Conn, tonight. They may have dug a hole too deep to climb out. It would be a bracket busting moment, for me, but I'd also love to see Memphis and TN get it on, again.

Tennessee destroyed OSU in the first half.

Two comments about Greg Oden,

a) He looks like he is 30 years old, are we sure he's only 18.
b) He doesn't seem as good as Durrant, and he always seems to be in foul trouble

Every poll I've seen the past week, has had up to 60% of the nation picking OSU to be the first #1 seed to bite the dust. Oden's tired look reflects how they've played for the most part the whole tournament. They were peeking when they faced Wisconsin at the end of regular season. It's been pretty shabby, since. Coaching?

Wow! Just wow! Never thought I'd see Ohio St. back in this one. Coaching? :D

whew!

That was a close one!!

Can't wait for tomorrow!!

20 points down? I think that shows OSU's staying power and ability to play a good game of basketball.

Anyone else's West and South brackets have this weird error with Kansas and Ohio St. filled in in red?

I didn't get to watch much of any of the games last night since it was our anniversary and we were out, but looking at the recaps - man, those were some good games.

Of course, at this point I think I'm mathematically out of contention for the win, since there is at least one person above me (WildCowboy) that has the same FF, championship, and national champion.

But it'll still be fun to see how the tourney plays out. Almost seems like OSU is a team of destiny. Either that, or they're just playing with fire and about to get fried.

You've got Kansas in the championship game...I've got Florida.

Looking over the top of the standings, it appears that just about everybody is guaranteed at least one bad pick tonight. xsedrinam has a chance to make some noise though, as all four of his picks for tonight are still alive. And with these games worth four points apiece, he'll jump to the front of the pack if all of the higher seeds win.

Florida and Georgetown seem to be unanimous picks among the leaders tonight, so that'll be a wash for us.

The other two games are an interesting story. Everyone at the very top of the standings (except xsedrinam of course) is guaranteed a loss in the Oregon-UNLV game because they picked either Wisconsin or ND to advance here. So that opens the door for those just below (who all picked Oregon) to move up if Oregon wins that game.

But the exact opposite is true in the UNC-USC game. Those in that second group are guaranteed a loss because they have an eliminated Texas team advancing, while those at the top have a chance to make some hay with a UNC victory.

I don't really want to concern myself with the details; I prefer to set it up so I'm not disappointed when I lose. :D
You went out last night to celebrate your anniversary instead of vegetating in front of the tube and watching basketball games. You took care of business. You're already a winner. :D And congratulations on your anniversary.

Unless he was looking at the TV over the bar.:p

Georgetown wins by a hair.

Another interesting development. 8 of the top 10 in the brackets have Georgetown in the Final Four. That means kiwi and sb58 will be pulling for a North Carolina win, Sunday, unless USC surprises, tonight.

Go Ducks.

WOW!!!!!
What a game with 5 minutes left the HEELS have seen the worm turn!!
Don't know how it will end, but it is usually better to be hot at the end of the game than not!
A 20-3 run, Got'ta luv a deep bench when you get everyone running hard.

GO HEELS
