Looks like a couple of players picked UNLV, but most take it on the chin. Sorry, iRachel. You were just being true to your school. I just hope Memphis won't be another #2 seed that bites it, today.

Yeah, I'm not real high on Memphis, either (though I did pick them). That game worries me a little.

Kansas better win. I'm tired of Bill Self ruining my brackets with bizarre early-round exits.

As for Wisconsin, I knew the Final Four was a long shot, but I figured they'd at least make it past the first weekend.

Had UNLV. Need Texas and Kansas to win to keep my final 8 intact. Except for that dastardly, stupid Notre Dame.

Or perhaps I'm dastardly and stupid. For picking them to go to the final 8.

Looks like mlw1235 is the only one at the top of the standings who's smiling about USC's domination of Texas...

I'm counting on Memphis and Kansas holding on for the wins to take me to 6-2 for the day.

It's a relief to hear Douglas-Roberts was a "moderate sprain". If they advance, they gotta have him against A&M.

If Wisconsin goes down, has anyone else picked UNLV? The Midwest bracket has been my nemesis, so far.

I got the UNLV pick right, though I do not care for UNLV. I'm just happy Wisconsin is out of it. The shot clock was brought to basketball to help prevent teams from slowing games down to a crawl, but somehow Wisconsin has managed to find ways to do it over the years. They have tainted college basketball too long with their 80's Big Ten style play :)

5-3 today. Meh.

All four one seeds remain, along three two seeds, three three seeds, one four seed, three five seeds, one six and one seven.

Just heard on CBS that this is the first time since 1995 that no double-digit seed has made it to the sweet sixteen.

iRachel and I are going to root hard for UNLV in the next round so that all you folks who picked Oregon to win that game go down with us.

Absolutely!

That's correct...this doesn't come with any special early avatar privileges, so you'd have to be 'tar-eligible in order to use it.

But there's still several weeks left in the tournament, so just keeping hanging around on here to follow your progress and you'll get to 500 in no time!

Yeah, I'm starting to think it won't be a problem. I've posted more in this thread than I sometimes do in a month. Of course, it helps that I've been sick over the last two days, so I've basically been sitting on my couch with my iBook, watching the games and posting on MR.

hehe total luck on that one.

I was somewhat disappointed with the Wisconsin game today (I go to Marquette and seeing as how we can demolished....I default to my homestate team), I thought they could have played much better, oh well.

(64 teams) Can't win them all! ;)

It's been an exciting weekend, can't wait for Thursday.

Im not to happy with Wisconsin losing, Im gonna have to run the table now to have any chance.

Two things are bothering me, concerning Memphis' chances against A&M, Thursday. Douglas-Roberts may have to sit with a sprained ankle, and Sports Illustrated/ ESPN are actually writing good things about them.

I was somewhat surprised that in one national poll taken, can't remember link, 61% of the country (all regions voting) were picking Ohio St. to be the most likely #1 seed to go down. NC, after them. I have Kansas over Florida and into the Final, just 'cause I think they're that strong, but put it all on Ohio St for the title.

What time is the first game tomorrow? My Internet is being weird and I can't get the TV Listings to load.
All times EDT. If I post it, would it persuade you to pull for Oregon? :p Okay then, how 'bout Memphis? :D

Thanks xsedrinam. I'll root for Memphis - I picked them to make the Elite Eight. As for Oregon/UNLV, it doesn't really matter to me at this point since I had picked Wisconsin, but since I told WildCowboy I would join him in cheering for UNLV, I'd better do that - wouldn't want to upset a mighty Mod! :D

Hey, we have to cheer for whoever helps our brackets. I'd love to root for Oregon, but UNLV helps my bracket more.

Go Runnin' Rebs!

And, here we go.....7:12 hurrah for TV time. Go Kansas, Go Mempis, Go UCLA, Go Ohio St. :p

We've got a couple of close games going on right now!

I'm looked for Kansas and Memphis to pull these games out.
