TarHeels win by 10 after being down by 16 in the Second half.
I am as giddy as a lil' school girl (like my 'tar).
Sun with G'town will be an awesome matchup, glad we have a deep bench.
Goodnite.

Im not sure is anyone saw the last minute of the division 2 championship but that was a great ending.

All Glory is Fading...

Head vs. heart, I have mixed emotions with today's games. I'd love to see Memphis advance to the Final Four and will pull for them, though it would totally whack my chances in the brackets.

All right! I got one of the Final Four teams correct!

Last year, I got exactly one of the four teams correct. I'm hoping to do better this year. I had Wisconsin, so the most I can get at this point is three. Go Bruins! Go Hoyas!

Looks like you and mlw1235 get to celebrate, tonight. I had Kansas in the Final with Ohio St., so that's all she wrote.

Too late and too tired to do the math tonight, but I think I need the Ducks to upset Florida, tomorrow, then beat UCLA in the semis, a Georgetown win over NC, and an OSU win over Georgetown in the semis, then OSU to hang on over Oregon to take it all. What are the chances that'll happen? :p :D

Yeah. I forgot UCLA essentially had a home game against KU last night. Must have been about 10:1 fans for UCLA in that game. Although to expect a Bill Self team to play into the FF was a fatal mistake on my part.

I drove right through that red light warning, too. Any time a team as good as Kansas shows up in a second half as conservative and stiffled as they were, I think it's coaching. I'd forgotten about Illinois being equally as stiffled with him. Not taking anything away from UCLA's performance, but Kansas was a different team the second half.

Anywho, go Ducks.

Obviously Bill Self is one of the best recruiters in the game. I would definitely argue that based on pure talent his team has as much as your average NBA bench. But that being said you need a good coach to manage that talent.

Bill Self is just an average coach (maybe worse in prior years with those early exits), occasionally he can win a big game but his march record leaves something to be desired especially when you consider the caliber of players that he coaches year in and year out.

I'm a big Illinois fan, I don't think our 2004/2005 was going to play in the national championship if Bill Self was still the coach. They probably would have been sweet 16'ers but I don't think you would have seen them playing for a national title. Thats pure specualtion on my part.

I was glad to see UCLA win. But sadly after going through the scenario generator no matter what happens the highest I can place is 9, theres always next year ... well actually theres always baseball this season because I have plenty of hope for my Cubbies.

Wow...Georgetown has clawed all the way back to tie. I could really use a Hoya victory! I thought they were going to be in big trouble with Hibbert hampered with the fouls, but they've played well.

YES! Thank you Georgetown! That was quite the comeback.

Of course, looking at the brackets on Yahoo, it looks like not having Florida killed me. I moved down, everyone else moved up.
It'll be my last move, up. My West and Midwest choices make me mathematically eliminated. I'm going to pull for Florida over UCLA, and an Ohio St. Champ. That'll help out WildCowboy. ;)

Isn't sucking up to the Mod a bannible offence.:p

I'm willing to let xsedrinam slide on this one...I'm not going to turn down the help.

3 out of 4 ... could be worse.

Of course 3 out of 4 meant a lot more last year, when 1 was George Mason (note: I did not pick George Mason). This has been a fun tournament, though -- lots of close games and momentum shifts. I've heard complaints about refereeing, but to be expected with so many close games.

With my chances in the pool pretty shot, I'm gonna have to root for Georgetown. There's something delciously parallel universey about watching John Thompson and Patrick Ewing ...
