Everything seems to be working again for me.

Edit:

One exception. There's an App store update that is pending, but only shows "Open".

OS X Server Caching is down as well as Reachability for those running Server. Idk what happened, but any service that relies on Apple is down for me. I can't even tweet from my Mac; it comes back with an error.

Only took 6 days of constant communication with Apple support for them to finally admit there is a problem. They were so insistent that it was not them, even though they could duplicate it on their own computers.
I got so frustrated trying to set up my new Mac. I still can't download El Capitan because it's taking hours just to download a few megabytes.

It took 18 hours to upgrade my girlfriends replacement 6s from 9.0.2 to 9.1 (252mb).

??? This was a temporary minor thing....

Ok this is weird, everything on LTE is working fine but Wifi through AppleExtreme is really dodgy and slow. Chrome shows "Resolving host..." on the bottom before the page loads. Why would an Apple router be affected this way? And why does it seem like the router is tied with Apple services somehow? On LTE Apple.com and AppStore work but through Wifi nothing loads.

No its not. There are other members on the forums that have been posting issues for almost a week now. Even in this thread others have said its been a week for them.

Correct. This is the issue. Those on WiFi are unable to reach gs.apple.com (update server), but those on cellular can. I have been able to confirm this multiple times.

It started on Thursday, just Apple kept denying it.

Weird. I haven't had any issues until today. It's just flat out.

I have an AirPort Extreme 6th Gen (802.11ac), no issues here browsing the web.

Sure what? Seriously, what are you getting at. I have spent over 10 hours on the phone with Tier 2 support and engineers trying to figure out the issue. I have 8iOS and 4 OS X devices in my household that cannot download a single thing over Wifi, but only on LTE. Go look through the iOS 9 forum, you will see that I have posted there many times.

Ok. How is that related to this temporary outage? That would have zero to do with Apple server having a bit of an issue

Yeah I have had zero issues browsing since Thursday, just anything iTunes/Mac App Store related hasn't been working.

I don't know if you are serious. Since Thursday Apple has said they have no evidence that the issue is their issue, even though they can replicate the issue on their end. They have now updated their status page saying that there are store issues and iCloud issues - the same exact issues I am having. Therefore they are related.

I'm on the east coast with no issues, in fact I actually just finished downloading 1.5 gigs in Mac App Store apps.

From what I have gathered over the last day of independent research, its a west coast thing.
