Brazil; it's further up in the thread.

Holy hell. Google does, indeed, confirm this price. That's... absurd.

Suppose it's worth noting that this is pre-official launch numbers. Once it;s official in the country I doubt it will be that pricey. Dec 16 is the official launch date, for those, like me, wondering.

Not exactly. The camera is leaps and bounds better, which is important to the OP.

Yes, you got it.
I need a portable camera to take it everywhere.
But, pay attention: I am not saying that I already know the answer ('buy iPhone 4S'). I have never had an iPhone before, so I dont know if the iphone 4 will make a good job.

iPhone 4 camera is decent, but not quite as good as the 4S camera. Shots under fluorescent lighting in particular turn out really badly on the 4

I wouldn't pay $1800+ for any iPhone though. Can you get someone from another country to buy one for you? I just bought an unlocked 32GB 4S the other day for only $793 after tax

Go for the 4s, you'll be glad you did.

$1800 US or 1800 Brazil Currency? Regardless, that's INSANE!

Is it still Cruzado? I've been there once.

Most likely BRL1800 ~ US$995. Sounds about right for unofficial release of unlocked iPhone. But still crazy though for a 16GB 4S. Shouldn't cost more than $800 if you ask me. For the price that should've been a 64GB.

But heck, you need it and you can afford it, so .. why not?

I have just ONE concern... I currently own a Nokia 6303i. Battery time? 5 days. Well, I hope I dont get that annoyed charging my future iphone once a day.

Charging once a day is alright, just have the phone next to your bed and plug it in before sleeping.
