I might be totally wrong here, but aren't you of medical background?

If so, that means a lot coming from someone knowledgeable, who knows the human body (probably better than the person above who bashed me for following severe instructions, imposed by a dietician and personal trainer )

Anyway, thank you :)

Well yes, but mostly for things like cancer and certain other diseases.

I just know about the human body because I consider my health to be of great importance. It all started after I met cancer patients who worried, older patients who gave me advice, and I've learnt from watching treatments, particularly surgeries. It's amazing how people are treated when they're put to sleep for surgery. They're pushed, rolled, and prodded like slabs of meat at the butchers.

I'm just meant that it's impressive that you lost weight naturally, considering the "quick fix" society we now live in. It's better than things like liposuction and surgery because it means you've changed your lifestyle, you've actually improved your overall health and fitness, plus it shows your strength of character. :)

Saying that, get your excess skin taken care of, and the wrinkly forehead. ;) I have a friend who had to get gastric bypass surgery around 10 years ago (when he was 19-20), and it took a while for him to fit into his own skin, even after skin removal. May as well get started early.

My God the damage I have done with those buggers. The other nite I ate 2 bags of 15 at like 11:30pm(I've done much worse:eek:). Once I start eating chocolate at night I will not stop till its all gone or I'm belly up. I wish I knew how many km I jogged just working off peanut butter cups:D

30 Reese's Peanut Butter Cups = 2 600 calories
Jogging for 1 hour at 5 MPH for a male of roughly average weight = 584 calories burned = 72.6 calories/km
Total kilometres of jogging required = 35.8

Or he could drink a crapload of strong diet greentea and take a massive dump

How did you lose so much? I only got 10 or less pounds to go and I'm done, but how?

It's posted on the first page.

The wrinkly forehead is gone in May. I can't wait! A few little pumps of that wonderful toxin and I shall be cured of cavity hell.

Some people have given me nuisance for having it done, but in photo's its very noticeable (not so much those, as they were taken on my Crackberry). And, if I have the area filled and frozen now, the wrinkles won't worsen with age, where they'll need to be filled to high heaven, giving me that Teri Hatcher/Nicole Kidman look. I'll look like a normal, fresh-faced 20 year old.

As for the skin, its not awful, like rolls which I can tuck in and lift. Its just not.. tight. It's soft. My chest is the worst, its nowhere near man boobs, but its just like 'sunk'. When I get myself back into work and into a routine again, I'll have the drive to do exercise, and that will get it back to being 'normal' to a certain extent.

I probably will have some kind of skin removal and tightening - but not yet.

That's great but 700 calories is seriously not good for you dude. 1200 calories is an absolute minimum, even that is probably too low for a guy. You might be thin but you could end up with a whole mountain of other problems from starvation

I'm not on 1200 anymore. I was being monitored 3 times a week. It wasn't a willy nilly, I want to lose weight.

And I am not thin. I am still over weight.

I didn't starve myself. In fact I ate more on 700 calories a day than I did before the 'diet'. (Fruit and veg was unlimited, as was fat free yoghurt)

That's true and anything under 1200 calories a day will seriously slow your metabolism, which is why I am surprised the original poster lost so much weight.

I guess everybody (literally is different). Original poster with that much calorie restriction and the increase in exercise where did your energy come from? Ever feel faint?

Also, the "no eating after 9 PM" rule is a good one. I wish I followed this rule, but I ate dinner at 10:30 PM last night.
It actually doesn't make a significant difference: you can eat dinner at 7:00 or right before bed at midnight, your body won't care. What matters is calories in and calories out, the "when" is irrelevant.

However, it's a good rule to follow for those wishing to lose weight, simply because most items consumed after 9:00 are in addition to dinner (i.e. a regular diet).

Kardashian, congrats, seriously it's an amazing story; however, I do highly recommend continued consultation with a licensed dietician and your doctor. You made some very drastic changes to your body in the past year(s), and your body is still adjusting. I wish you the best of luck in the future! Stay healthy. :)

...And for anyone about to attempt a diet regimen, consult your doctor first!

^^^Haha, actually, I knew that eating late at night didn't matter for most people's diets. However, the amount you eat for breakfast and lunch, in proportion to how much you eat at dinner, does affect your metabolism, and so the amount of calories burnt is affected. That's why eating less than 1500 calories may not result in increased weight loss. It just means I'd get tired easier, which would mean I do less exercise, and so things cancel themselves out.

Anyway, I don't know why, but even if eating dinner after 8 PM, or 10 PM probably would not affect MY particular weight, it's just one of those things I believe will work regardless of whether it's doing anything. :p I usually eat dinner earlier, but I also try to eat a large lunch so that my lunch and dinner don't differ in size by much.

I guess people are different. If I eat 1200 I still feel hungry and faint. I feel much better eating 1500-1700 a day (Female, 5"3 and 62 kilos). Lost over 30 kilos. I have put on 4 kilos since I was my lightest but I have started doing a bit of strength training plus eating more than I used to (which was about 1200-1300 a day but I felt horrible)

That is an amazing weight loss story. Congrats OP.

I would love to lose 20 pounds myself to get to my ideal BMI. It's been a struggle for over a decade. The first ten can be lost w/o too much trouble, but the last ten are brutal. I did it once, but weight came back.

Cosmetic Vain

Congrats on the weight loss however i think all the cosmetic stuff is un necessary . Your skin will tighten in time a little , i lost a significant amount of weight too and ended up with some stretch marks in my armpits and on my waist. Being a man i'd rather have a few faint stretch marks than being overweight for sure. I would just caution your vanity and cosmetic route i mean where does it end ? You have regained your self esteem and figure a couple of lines on your forehead add character !
Well done regardless

Much like my opinion of this post.

Your skin will tighten in time a little

Yes. A little. I don't want a little - I want my hard work to pay off completely. I've not lost a few lbs here. I have lost a person in weight.

What does being a man have to do with it? So, its OK to work hard to be thin, but not OK to change something about yourself cosmetically? Right.

I would just caution your vanity and cosmetic route i mean where does it end ?

It ends when I say it ends. This is not about 'vanity' to conform to someone else's idea of how I should be. This is about me, and when I look in the mirror, wanting to see normality - my 'own' normality. Before the weight gain (which was due to illness, anyway) and before the wrinkles. If you have lost a significant amount of weight, like you say, those stretch marks will bother you. They are a constant reminder of what you used to be like. I don't want that on my forehead, when I show my face to the world. Other 20 year olds don't have foreheads like a 60 year old, why should I? I've not worked this hard to worsen the appearance of my face.

You have regained your self esteem

It didn't need regaining. Please, this isn't an analysis of my mental state.

and figure a couple of lines on your forehead add character !

Not to a 20 year old. What war scars should I have at 20 years old? Please.

Thank you so much. And thank you to Abstract and twoodcc as well.

It's a shame there's lovely, supportive people like you, and then someone like chedda comes along. (see above)

congrats! awesome work!

and about your torso, it may be screwed for now, but keep at it and don't give up. you're only 20...you have LOTS of time to rework it. it'll rebound.

Just think: it took you how long to get big and how fast to lose most of that weight? you've got time to redo the torso and burn that fat away.

one hint of advice from past experience:

do not, for a second, let the vigilance of eating properly and exercising, falter b/c the weight can come back quickly. make sure this is a pure 100% lifestyle change :)

good luck!

I would do this, but I'd have to wait at least until I'm either:

A) Out of education
B) In University (Stanford)
C) Out of University

700 calories? Only an hour of exercise? All of this cosmetic work after rapidly dropping the weight?

Congratulations of losing the weight but I can't imagine this was done healthily.

For the last time, I was monitored by a team of dieticians and nutritionists, as well as a personal trainer.

I also think you'll find an hour of exercise, every single day, for someone as big as I was, is quite a feat.

Also, the cosmetic surgery has nothing to do with me actually losing weight, so don't bring that into it.

You're saying you're still overweight, but you only show pictures of your face, and it looks quite skinny? You should post a full shot

I'm about 17lbs overweight.

My body is not 'flat' because the muscles and skin have been stretched so badly. I lost 11" off my waist in about 8 months.

I'll post a clothed one.

How is it vain?

The surgery is to fix the issues that can't really be dealt with naturally. He has done everything else himself. What is his body supposed to do with all that excess skin? It's literally dead weight.

Sure, I guess he could "be a man" and leave it, but I doubt he has just a "few faint stretch marks".

I don't even understand the doubt about his method. No, I wouldn't have thought it was healthy either, but if he was assessed by professionals in this field, and he was prescribed such a procedure based on his weight, age, blood tests, etc, then I'll just keep my mouth shut and let the professionals handle it. Apparently, the experts handled it just fine. He's fine. He's living proof that the exact method prescribed for this one individual worked. That's not to say that everyone should eat 700 calories and lose weight. Someone else may need more calories.

Anyway......

But on a more serious note, Abstract is right. I am fixing issue's caused by me losing weight and getting healthy. The catch 22 the situation.

Being 7 stone overweight was more a harm to my body than fake tan, tooth veneers and botox will ever be.

Congrats. You look great and you've added years back to your life.

Thank you very much :)
