We pay the premium and don't expect the customer service?? Before they would accommodate with any issues!
[doublepost=1512288187][/doublepost]How many software mishaps as Apple had lately? The iPhone 6S was covered for these issues but not the Plus. Since the PLUS didn't have a recall I'm assed out??

We're getting played??? Apple iPhones are the almost always the most expensive option. I've had every iPhone since the first one. This is the first time I've called Customer Service and they let me down.
If I dropped or damaged the phone I wouldn't mind at all paying the fee. However, in this case I didn't do anything at ALL. Why should I pay the full $329? They take my phone scrap it + $329 from me and you guys feel bad for APPLE??
No, I don't feel bad for Apple. People typically buy Apple products for their longevity. Unfortunately you got a device that didn't last as long as most Apple products. It sucks, I understand that you wanted the device to last longer, but you bought the device knowing how long the warranty was.

What premium? Most flagship devices cost the same as Apple's and has for awhile now. Apple has resolved your issue by offering an out of warranty repair. It's not what you want to hear but it's better than other companies.

In 2015 look up what we got with the iPhone 6S Plus for 749 and look what other companies offered??

Maybe it's not.
That's fair but thats my point. Why should I pay the full $329 if I didn't do anything

Why should Apple do it for free, they didn’t do anything!

It is annoying, disappointing and just plain bad luck that your phone has failed. These things happen unfortunately and randomly.

There is very little else that would break out of warranty and be repaired free of charge by any manufacturer, I don’t know why you expect Apple to be any different.

However, I have always had exemplary customer service from them. I’ve had every iPhone from the 3 and every iPad from the 2 and even when things have been out of warranty, they have always been accommodating.

But, you are not entitled to anything and I don’t know why you think you are.

Go and buy any other brand of phone you will have the same issue, but even worse. What happens when you buy a Samsung, or a Google, or any other and it goes wrong under warranty?

Where do you take it for an instant repair or exchange? You can do this with Apple, otherwise, you’re sending your phone away for weeks whilst the issue is sorted!

You got an iPhone 6S+ on launch day you said. You also said you expected it to last more than two years.
The iPhone 6S+ was released on 9/25/2015.
Basic math...your phone lasted more than two years.
If you plan to keep the phone longer than warranty periods, it’s best to buy extended warranties, usually offered by third parties or even your carrier.
Customer service was great to you, they replied and assisted you in a timely manner. They went as far as to screen share with you and diagnose the issue. They offered you a repair option rather than telling you that you need to buy a new phone.
What is the problem here?

He wants it for free.

Even a car months out of warranty needed a new gearbox would be the owners bill.

Also, he said he’s had every iPhone so why no 7?

Dude, time for an upgrade. Rather than pay the £329, go upgrade.

You said that the guy was rude, but nothing in your post indicated that he was rude, he was just giving you facts, which is what I would do. Short and sweet, it’s out of warranty and you have to buy another one. What would be rude about that? Then he goes on to say that he’s a loyal customer. Aren’t most of us who buy these things year after year loyal customers and what we expect to be treated differently than those that just bought for the first time? Sense of entitlement here.

Many would be relieved if our two year old flagship models lasted until (and then suddenly died) the latest model becomes readily available. I would put the $329 toward a shiny new iPhone with a warranty. And I think the OP is beating a dead horse here.

I’ll agree customer service with Apple lately is poor. But you said you e owned every iPhone. Why not just use your 7, 8, or X then? ;-)

OP, sorry to hear. Unfortunately, like previous posters said if it is out of warranty you will have to replace.

Throw it in the freezer for a few hours and try again. If it comes back on it's the battery (which can be replaced).

I'd also suggest dropping it onto a hard surface (at room temperature - on the back, from like 6") sometimes things shift around, and fix themselves with a little bumping around.

This time it did not last, next time it most likely will. I agree with the general thinking that Apple's expensive devices should last long and their warranty should be better than other phone makers.

I would even settle for a less fancy phone and Apple use that R&D savings to make more reliable devices. The iPhone X should have a 3 year warranty out of the box. I am happy to pay extra for accidental damage coverage.

I’ve never seen any manufacturer offering 3 years on their devices. Why “should” the iPhone X have it?

They still sell the 6S+ at a good dollar amount. It was WORKING PERFECTLY. WTF happened idk iOS 11 has been buggy maybe it's their fault.

Apple sells the 6S Plus for $549. They offered you a replacement for your out of warranty phone for $329. Sounds like a good deal to me. Apple didn't break your phone. iOS didn't break your phone.

The entitlement is strong in this thread....

Why shouldn't they?

Who says 1 year is sufficient when we overspend for Apple products?

That’s your choice as a consumer.  is not forcing you to buy their products. 1 year warranty is more than legal requirements in most of the world.
