I got my apple watch series 7 about 2 years ago and lately the battery just drains super fast, like i charge it fully every morning and by 5 or 6pm it's already dead, i use it for steps, notifications and sometimes a 30 min workout but nothing crazy, i already turned off always-on display and it's still the same, someone told me it's because the battery health drops after a certain point and you need to replace it but apple wants like $99 for that so i'm wondering if there's a cheaper way or if a third party repair shop is safe to use, also does the new apple watch ultra actually last longer or is it the same story after 2 years.

would love to hear from people who actually fixed this!

I'm guessing it wasn't new when you got it? Check the battery health by going into Settings, Battery, Battery Health on the Watch. What's it say?
