Resolved My eBay experience thus far

The seller completely refused to accept the shipment that came from China (according to usps). I presume it's on its way back. It doesn't make sense, I would expect him to at least keep it and try to resell?

Last contact with PayPal Support was wednesday, they said would get back to me by the end of today.

On the plus side, I fortunately had enough funds to re-purchase it legitimately through apple (after checking local stores which none had my model on stock). It should be on my doorstep by next friday! :)

Strange he didn't accept the package, assuming it really was an IPad in there. Well, I hope you get all your money back!

Wow!! He's maybe afraid to accept the package for fear he will be arrested. BUSTED ! :eek: Is he still listing on e-bay? I always thought it was difficult to get another account on e-bay as they verify you...you have to have a bank account etc. So happy you were able to reorder!!!

I just noticed one of his other iPad 3 buyers left negative feedback, there apear to be many others. Sad, really. I too hope their situation works out.
 
Did you get any farther with Paypal? How about your new Ipad, did it come yet? Did you get a 'good' one?

The case is still being reviewed, I should get some sort of update from them by the 17th.

The Apple bought iPad actually just arrived today! I'm stuck at work but it should be waiting at my doorstep. I'll let you know if it's a "good' one.

did u pay with this transaction on paypal with a credit card? if so, just do a chargeback.

If you do this, you risk Paypal blacklisting you. I had some issues with PayPal and it taking money from an account I no longer had a backup funding source, and my Bank advised against doing a chargeback because they'd had previous customers who did and ended up unable to use Paypal since in their eyes, the user owed them money.
 
Well good news! Just within the last hour I got an update from PayPal. They will refund me the full amount!

I want to thank everyone again! Without you guys I would be out $600 bucks and without an iPad. <3

To those considering purchasing any high value item via eBay please avoid what I did! Do your research and ask questions. This post is full of awesome tips (from awesome people) as well as what to do if you ever find yourself in this kind of situation.

Been playing with it for a couple of hours now. This iPad is near perfect! No uneven lighting, no yellow screen, no backlight bleed, no stuck or dead pixels, however there is most certainly a piece of lint or dust under the screen. Looks like a micro scratch. I have no plans to exchange it.
 
Wow excellent!!! Thats great news. I didn't think Paypal would let u down, at least not as a buyer. Well enjoy your new Ipad!! Glad everything worked out for you. Another satisfied customer :)
