He got the views and he got paid most likely...This stuff is all to get reactions out of people. He can just go in and get a new phone with apple care. Yes they may give him **** for drilling a hold into but all he has to do is tear that section of the grill out and they will never know he drilled it.

All these videos you see, people scratching up there phones, drop test, drilling etc...its all for views. They get replacement phones by either apple care or with the money they make off of the ads.

anyone remember when people thought that by updating their iOS their phones would become waterproof

Well fortunately we are a nation of idiots on a planet of idiots, and if Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy turns out to be representative of the reality of life among extra-terrestrials, and I strongly suspect it could be, we are likely in good company with the rest of the galaxy, too. Even our dolphins have been observed to act like a-hats on many occasions. However, I do think they would be gracious enough to thank our world for all the fish. And I would be gracious enough to thank humanity for all of the donuts.

In other epiphanies about the human condition, people will hang onto their "skinny clothes" for an illogically long time in the vain hope that in a few months, the donuts will finally melt off the waistline even if the best food-centric holidays are just around the corner.

i know right, what people do to draw view on youtube is just insane, the kind of videos i watch on youtube is unboxing iphone and speed test compared to other phone, but i dont watch unnecessary thing like crash phone test, boiling phone test and all those stupid test

To clarify, yes people are dumb enough to try that. My point was the particular comments the op quoted were 99/100% troll posts.

The lady you mentioned was scammed and likely threatened with jail and having property taken. Having a person do something out of fear is not the same as what we're talking about.
She was scammed. Not denying that. I'm just saying people can and do things that they read in the internet. I'm willing to bet someone did this. I can almost guarantee they did. We're people in the comments trolling? Probably. We don't know that.

I simply gave an example of something that should be common sense to every working person in the country that obviously is not. I thought the example was completely on point. Regardless of fear, it should raise about a million red flags when thebIRS claims to accept iTunes gift cards regardless of what they're threatening you with. Applogies if our views in the matter differ, I guess.

Another great example (or at least I think so) that came to mind is one a friend told me in college. He used to do geek squad (before they were called that) support in Best Buy and someone came in saying that his built in coffee mug holder was broken. His friend showed him this cool new feature in his computer but the mug holder would no longer eject. Yeah... some people can't be helped.

Isn't this an old IRS scam story?
Nice to see it being recycled as if it's new.

Anyway doesn't say much for the intelligence of iPhone owners!
I still get emails from the prince of Nigeria when I sell stuff in Craigslist. That prince is really buying a lot of stuff for his niece. What a guy.

Some YouTube loser posts a video of him drilling a hole into the bottom of an iPhone 7 and plugs a headphone cable into it. The video has been viewed 8 million times. There are actually people who attempted to do this. My God how stupid can people be. This is what I hate about YouTube. All the dumb crap they allow that gets millions of hits.
Sounds like you put a little too much jelly on your PB&J.

8 million views? The guy has made 1000s of dollars just with that video. Who's stupid now ?

Still asking why tabloid newspapers with alien born out of celebrities sell? If there is any stupidity are people who is got nothing better to do than consume those contents.

This guy has been doing YouTube videos since he was 12.

It's his job. He makes money. He gets views because he does dumb things to iPhones and galaxies.

He's not the dumb ass or the loser ... it's the people that's actually doing it if there truly are any...

All you have to do is search his channel.

Remember when microwaving an iPhone would instantly charge the battery? Yes many people believed it and destroyed their phones. I have no problems believing people actually tried this.

Do you actually believe these trolls did it lmao? They're just playing along man. LOL

Definitely. Did you see that guy who bought 7 iPhone 7 for his DOG!
Check the story: he bought SEVERAL phones for his dog. It offends me to no end that there are people who can barely afford rent and yet there are people in this world so rich that they just throw money away for no good reason.

You do realize they do this for YouTube views therefore they get paid by youtube in return the more views they get. All of these drop tests, scratch tests, water drop tests etc. on brand new iPhones all the same goals for views.

I think it's funny at the amount of people here that believe no one tried this after watching the video. I can tell you yes. People are that stupid. I see it everyday. I talk to people and listen to their stories and wonder how they are still alive or function at all. And the internet is a breeding ground that feeds these idiots like those that try to drill holes in their phones.

I bet these people could write some great Amazon reviews
Dear David Iriarte and James Ceja,
You do realize just drilling a hole into your iPhone does nothing? The headphone jack needs something to connect to. Go to the hardware store and pick up one of these. Just ask the salesclerk for something called a wall anchor. They're mean to secure things inserted into holes that are drilled.

They look something like this:

I know, I'm evil. I've not seen the video so if the guy or anyone else really did suggest using wall anchors, well uh...:eek::eek::eek::eek:

the best thing one can do is to avoid watching those stupid videos.
if i am indirectly giving money to someone by watching their videos, at least i want them not to destroy expensive object and wasting precious resources.
I can have better entertainment watching cats or people falling.

Let's just say with the job I have I get to see some of the dumbest people on the planet. Yes some people are absolutely that stupid. And in this day and age people have completely lost their sense of common sense and rely solely on the internet for everything and believe most everything in the internet. Lol. It's sad really.
You should totally make a thread with all the interesting people you had to work with. Reminds me of the time someone asked where they could download an app that will recharge their phone battery via software means so they won't have to carry around a charger.

You cannot say that people are stupid or not. Can you tell me what is a beta function or write Bernoulli's equation out of you head. I bet you cannot.

My best teacher always had his pants chalked , should I also call him stupid.
