The most recent threads all seem to be mostly how faulty the 12 series is....

What is going on?? It makes me not even want to get a new phone.

My 12 Pro Max has a dim, dull yellow tinted screen. My California poppy leather case has a slight but annoying gap between the leather and the plastic camera cutout. Planning on exchanging both of them. Aside from those issues, the phone is solid.

It’s every year. People expecting their iPhone to cure COVID while taking perfect pictures in pitch black conditions in half a second, all while only taking off 1% of their battery within a year. The squeaky wheels will always be loud, and at times for blown reasons.

Now, if they were Samsung Notes and started exploding, that would be different. (Or antenna gate ... or bend gate)

Almost makes you wonder if the Apple haters are descending for a couple of weeks after each release 🤣🤣
For the record, I believe people have issues every year. Defective units do happen, but I also think it equally puts doubt into a lot of people about their own perfectly fine device, then it snowballs into thread after thread of problems.

I’m not saying there aren’t a few with problems, devices slip through the quality control net all the time.
It’s been my first launch year here and I can’t help but think most of these people are just blowing things out of all proportion.

Doubt it. Usually the issues are trivial. Not seen many/any trivial issues this time.

Zero issues hear. You will always hear from people with problems more than you will from people without problems.

Correct. Most units should be fine. The issue is even if 1-10% are defective, that’s a huge number considering the millions sold.

And why the number is well way below that. 1-10% defective would leave to an entire product recall.

🤷🏻‍♂️ Have to remember any phone is a mass produced device. There’s going to be issues with anything mass produced. I get it, it sucks, but what matters is how the company takes care of it, and apples customer service has a pretty good track record.

Loads of trivial issues.
Battery life
Yellow screens
The change of lock sound in a MagSafe case

The only non-trivial issue I have spotted is the mini touchscreen problem.

How is battery life trivial?

In the west yes. In the third world, not so much.

If you pay attention to the people with the battery life complaints it’s the people who moved from 11 Pro Max to 12 Pro who have issues.
What do they expect from a smaller phone with a smaller battery?
I moved from an XR and my battery life is massively better.

Your Mini has better battery life than your XR?
