The only negative thing I can say about my 12 is that I don’t like the squared-off edges. The camera is a massive leap forward, the battery life is good and the extra RAM of the Pro really helps.

I feel like this is how it is with every new iPhone, a ton of bugs and people getting used to the devices.

The iPhone 11 series also had a lot of negative threads here when they first launched.

I'm well over 5 hrs SOT and still have 40% battery on my mini. My SE could only get 1.5hrs and it would be at 10% after that. Small phone, small battery. Run the screen dark, don't use 5G, don't game on it.

That is pretty good, I guess the OLED display and A14 make all the difference.

The most recent threads all seem to be mostly how faulty the 12 series is....

What is going on?? It makes me not even want to get a new phone.

My 12 Pro Max, my wife's 12 Pro Max, and my son's 12 Pro Max are all in perfect shape, perfectly functional, and true joys to use.

Don't stress over the negative threads. Human nature is such that people that are unhappy are far more likely to make noise than those that are happy. The overwhelming majority of us are super happy with our new phones. Yes, there will be the occasional outlier, but given the millions of phones sold, those are truly few and far between.

If you want a 12* phone, get one with confidence. :)

I’ve been a member of this forum since the 5s release, and every single year it’s the same pattern.

Product seems rushed. Also, expectations seem to be set too high (especially here).

5G infrastructure is new. So I don’t even understand the gripes about that.

I have had the cart loaded and trigger ready to be pulled a few times now. But I’m really thinking of holding off yet another year.

What I do think is that the 12S (or 13) refresh is going to address a lot of issues and overlooked / de prioritized development, and THAT will be the killer phone that people can own for years and years of trouble free service with relevant features. But then again, that is my speculation.
