I picked up my Graphite SS yesterday as well. While the watch is fine, my Milanese band is defective. Need to visit the store again.

In addition it shows up in my Watch App on the Phone as Aluminum 44m Case, rather my prior watches, which show as Stainless Steel.

Can some of you check in the Watch App what shows for your watch? Aluminum or Stainless Steel?
Same. Shows as Aluminium on my app.

I picked up a graphite SS earlier today to be honest, I ended up returning it, not my cup of tea.

An update I went to apple store again, and tried the space link bracket and didn’t like it, was to dark for the graphite and the guy in apple even said the silver link bracket with the graphite looks so nice and works together so try them together I’m keeping this combo

I brought the 44mm graphite today and coming from stainless silver since series 1 it’s a nice change, honestly it’s such a nice colour; I never liked the space black stainless steel so always went for silver but this one has the same look as the space grey iphone side and even with a silver link bracelet it looks so much nicer and posh looking, also the bezels don’t stand out as much, here are some pics
Agreed.

I'll have to get used to the slight tint, depending on the lighting, after using a SSSB for two years, but it does match the Space Grey Pro Max nicely.

It is a software bug. Make sure and file a report with Apple.

Well thanks to this thread I decided to check availability at my local store and sure enough, graphite 44mm 6 available for pickup today. Guess I’m switching from my white gold wedding band to my silicone one until the titanium arrives sometime in the next couple of weeks.

Gotta say, I’m actually pretty excited for this one after reading it matches the SG 11 Pro (favorite iPhone finish since the jet black 7).

There’s something for everyone which is why the AW has been very successful. I’m half Swiss and have had a lifelong love of watches. I’ve over 20 watches, some cheap some expensive. I still have an Omega I bought with my first pay cheque 50 years ago. But they all sit in a draw now because I have a powerful computer on my wrist that looks like a watch.

The previous photos were with more sunlight, here is the look with less sunlight. I agree with OP, photos don’t do it complete justice.

How did you get the Chronograph Pro face to have that color scheme? Mine looks different.

Hi, what was defective with the band?
Here a comparison with my prior Silver loop and my black was the same. The Graphite was very stiff and inflexible. As you can see it didn't want to be flat coming around the loop, not even with light force.

Probably a manufacturing defect. They replaced it and the replacement is flexible as my prior bands.

I also tried both and thought that the silver link bracelet looked way better than the black.

Does anyone know if the graphite Milanese loop will scratch the graphite stainless steel Watch? Apple website says it’s PVD for the band VS DLC

No one knows for definite at the moment, but if you watch any comparison videos between PVD and DLC on YouTube you will see that DLC is much tougher than PVD.

So I expect it to be fine.

SB was really about how the display blended into the body. Graphite is more like silver and that blending is lost. I give apple a thumbs down for removing SB at this level.

Not helpful without the "Why".

Agreed, at that point I think I would rather go for the regular stainless or the regular titanium and really lean into the “classic watch” aesthetic. I think graphite is a nice option though. I just wish it had been added as a new option in addition to the space black rather than replacing it. And yes, I know you can still get SBSS if you get the Hermès. But I’m not paying that much for the exact same SS watch with extra faces. I’d much sooner get a space black titanium.

My tisb arrives tomorrow. I’m seriously thinking to keep the graphite I like the color of the watch and band better and it feels more premium then the ti. I’m bored of the black ti.

Yeah, maybe I'm being too traditional, but that's why I'm returning my Graphite model. When I think of watch finishes, I think of brushed steel or titanium, polished steel, or DLC black (I'm not personally into gold.)
