I've worn the space black stainless steel for the last 4 years (series 2) not a single scratch..it was still working perfect...not sure why I upgraded..I guess I just wanted a new toy....Apple gave me $65 for it....felt like I was getting screwed...a little bit...

That is always what happens when you trade in a product. You could have got a lot more selling it. I always just sell it to a private buyer. Same goes with cars. Every time I sell a car instead of trading it in, I save myself $15-20k.

Ouch. This is why I never do an Apple trade in. Sure it’s quick and easy. I just sold my series 0 aluminum on OfferUp for 90 bucks.

I won’t say what was already been iterated to you, but as soon as Apple quoted you $65, there’s no way I would’ve accepted that. Just keep in mind, you can always use Facebook marketplace as a secondary option in the future, where you’d be surprised what people pay you well over what Apple offered, as long as it’s fully functional, they wouldn’t even care if it has a few scrapes on it. But, the ‘safer bet’ sometimes is a trade-in, because some people don’t want to deal with outside unknown individuals. So there’s two sides to the story.

i use the charcoal braided solo loop with my 44 graphite SS so comfortable. i had picked up the milanese loop to go with my graphite but im afraid ill never use it with how comfortable these loops are lol

der for end of month delivery!

Does anyone else think the SS Space Black Watch with the Milanese Loop versus the Graphite version, feels heavier and more substantial? The case of the Graphite is thinner apparently, but how about the band? Is it less too?

Who has the Graphite and ML combination AND LIKES the pairing? The ML tends to get “a bad reaction” here. I am interested to hear from those who have the combination and LIKE it and why.

I love it!
I'm super careful taking on and off, holding it wide open when removing and the same when putting on.

I just wish they'd make a graphite link bracelet.

@Pug72

Thanks for your reply. I tried the link bracelet at the Apple Store. This past fall and found the ML much easier to work with.

I have a SL that I will use when I need to take off the watch fir travel. I find the ML the most comfortable and breathable.

I just weighed both. The Space Black band is 39g and Graphite band is 40g.

I owned a SBSS S3 and S4 so I've had the color for 3 years. It is a great color but I was just so tired of it, the black gets monotonous year after year. I decided to try the low cost aluminium for the first time this year until a S7 redesign comes out (always had stainless of some kind since the first Apple Watch) so I'm using SG and it's a really nice subtle look. Most of the time you don't even notice but having a slightly lighter than black frame helps set the screen off which is a nice look. If I was getting a stainless this year graphite would be my choice 100% vs. a Hermes SB.

If we are being honest the dark colors (GSS, SBSS, SB Ti, SG) are all REALLY close and most apparent to the wearer and only some carefully looking at your watch with intention.

@shady16

Glad you are liking the braided solo loop. I am allergic to most watch bands other than SS. So I am stuck.

I see others making the request Apple manufacture a graphite link bracelet. I think it’s totally doable, but they mentioned when the link bracelet actually released back in 2015, it was a very expensive process to manufacture due to the detachable links. And overall, if anybody’s ever used the link bracelet, you’d know how amazing it feels in the hand and incredibly thin and light weight it is.

I got the original Space Black which only came with the SB Link at the time. It definitely is a high class piece of kit and I would love to have a matched Link band for the Graphite finish.

Given the price point I would guess that it is a little early for a new Graphite Link, but if they stick with the Graphite finish next year hopefully their will be a big enough user-base to encourage Apple to make one.

Yeah I know....but I figured , if I list on eBay there will be eBay fees, PayPal fees, shipping hassles....after all the fees...im right back where I started at $65..

I brought the 44mm graphite today and coming from stainless silver since series 1 it’s a nice change, honestly it’s such a nice colour; I never liked the space black stainless steel so always went for silver but this one has the same look as the space grey iphone side and even with a silver link bracelet it looks so much nicer and posh looking, also the bezels don’t stand out as much, here are some pics
Today, based on your photos, i bought the series 7 in graphite and silver stainless band. I created a macrumors account just to tell you this. So thanks very much.
