What concerns me is that the buyer has no feedback at all.

Buyer is asking me to ship USPS express mail international to the Philippines.

I'm excited...yet oh so nervous that I'm getting screwed somehow....

BTW..this is my wife's preorder...I refuse to sell mine :)

You really should have not taken bids from international buyers. You may get some more money, but the chances of them being crooks is significantly higher. Honestly, I wouldn't send it to the guy, ESPECIALLY with 0 Feedback.

I know all eBay buyers have to start at 0 feedback somewhere, but that plus shipping to Phillipines, I really wouldn't trust it.

sometimes funds are held till + feedback if you have neg feedback or the item is on their watchlist.

I think you're safe if the buyer has verified email and verified address.

for 1750 I guess it's worth the chance!

I like the part at the bottom "i will not rip you off on shipping".....no your are just butt raping them on price so it's cool. Seriously how the hell do you sell a iPhone4 with one bid for that kinda cash? It's a scam dude buyer has no feedback.

If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn't true. You're ignoring the obvious (no feedback) to believe you're going to get something for nothing. You'll get nothing for something.

No feedback. Wants express overnight shipping to a 3rd world country. Scam.

I initiated the transfer to my checking acct, but it's not in there yet.

...and don't think that once the money is in your bank account, you're safe, because PayPal can and will take it back out of your account if the PayPal account turns out to be stolen and the real owner files a complaint.

When you try to make that kind of money of a hot consumer electronics item, and in the case of the iPhone 4 you could get her another one for $600-700 and still have made over a $1000 and you are actually going to sell it to someone from the Philippines - well then when the wool gets pulled over your eyes, you only had it coming.

Seller Beware

This guy just registered for ebay. Only 1 bid in 30 days...... I would be a little warey of his. 1 bid and 1750.00.... May be someone elses credit card....

PayPal considers electronics and cellphones as "high risk" so chances are the funds are held, are they?

Don't send it!! One bid and he wins it at that price!! You are selling an item with no return!! It adds up to trouble. Cancel!!

I would call paypal and make sure that everything is kosher. There is something fishy here. Im a veteran ebayer, and its 99 out of 100 if something seems to good to be true probably is. Personally I wouldn't trust it. If do send please make sure its insured, required signature, I would call the guy, should be able to get contact info through ebay. Make sure he has a listed phone number and address. Remember, he can claim he never got the phone, or say it wasnt what he wanted and send you back an empty box to show proof of delivery. He would then win paypal claim and you would have to prove fraud.

I would not do it, but if do, good luck

It's a SCAM!
Trust me, it's a scam! DO NOT mail the phone to the Philippines. You are going to get screwed!

that is funny, I went to Craig list and had a similar scam ran on my 32gb 3GS. The person lived in Hawaii and was sending it to her daughter in Nigeria. It also dealt with international shipping and a USPS international money order or something similar. Wonder if they are counter feting money orders or paying with fraudulent funds? there is a 95 percent chance that is a SCAM. I would not do it. Once they find out that it is Paypal will for sure put a hold on it and there is nothing you can do.

 I couldn't believe it! The buyer is very nice and has already paid via PayPal.

My question for some of you seasoned veterans...Is there still a way I could get screwed even though the money is in my paypal account?

Absolutely. They can reverse the payment and claim it was damages, fake, defective, not received. Paypal seems to almost always side with the buyer, even with all the proper documentation.

I sold an Xbox 360 on Ebay when they first came out. The auction ended and the money was in my Paypal account in no time. It then was transferred to my bank account. At that time I shipped out the Xbox. A day or so later I was informed by Paypal that the account I received the money from was claimed as "stolen". They took the money back at that time. I went through a hassle getting the money back. In the end it turned out someone had their accounts (Ebay and Paypal) hacked. In essence the Xbox was stolen from me.

I will always be skeptical about selling anything of that caliber on Ebay.
