I like the part at the bottom "i will not rip you off on shipping".....no your are just butt raping them on price so it's cool. Seriously how the hell do you sell a iPhone4 with one bid for that kinda cash? It's a scam dude buyer has no feedback.

I agree with you dude. I put it on there for what I considered a crazy price bc I didn't know how the demand was going to shape up.

Usually the protocol would be to ship with signature confirmation, that's required for an item over $215.

But if he has no feedback and is an international bidder, things could get fishy. I'd actually call Paypal and discuss with them to see what possible situations you could end up in and let them instruct you on exactly how to ship. Based on the country he's in things can be different. Also you can see where Paypal's seller protection policy ends by speaking with them.

Even with their assurances, it's still tough. However, I can see why a seller would do it. Just be as safe as you can.

Also - if that really is the going rate, you can probably sell it again to a more legitimate buyer. You can also set 'buyer requirements' so that no one internationally or no one with 0 feedback can bid.

This is obviously a scam. There are too many signs of this not being legit to go through with this transcation. Sell it for a normal price to someone that lives in the US and has positive feedback and you will be alright.

How exactly do you plan on selling it? Isn't it tied to AT&T? What about canceling that contract? What if you want your own iPhone 4 in the future will you still be allowed to purchase another one with AT&T's subsidized price?

im looking on ebay. they are all selling about 850 for the 32 gb

I like how he says Im not looking to rip you off on shipping......yet hes charging $55 to ship! LOL should only cost about $20 tops. Seller is pretty shady himself

No, you thought, wow if I can make $500 to $1000 over the unsubsidized price and then still buy another one for full price with that profit, I get money for free. Last time I checked, money wasn't free. That's what you get. Headache. You invited this.

Here is the link.

What concerns me is that the buyer has no feedback at all.

Buyer is asking me to ship USPS express mail international to the Philippines.

I'm excited...yet oh so nervous that I'm getting screwed somehow....

BTW..this is my wife's preorder...I refuse to sell mine :)

I few rules to keep in mind:

1) Never ship anywhere but the PayPal confirmed address (the only way will get any protection if an unauthorized purchase is made from an account is if you shipped it to a confirmed address.)

2) When someones wants something really fast and offers to pay for the fast shipping extra or even give you extra money to ship it faster - they are probably fraudulent.

3) A user bidding a lot of money for a hot item with no feedback or feedback that is very old is probably a highjacked or fake account

Hmm...extremely high winning bid, used Buy It Now, 0 feedback, international bidder, yeah this will end well

As a person that sells a lot of **** on Ebay I would say don't send him phone. What you do is refund him the money and just tell him you changed your mind about shipping it overseas. Also you have low amount of feedback yourself, and you expect buyers to come to you with a stock photo? You need to take an actual picture of the Iphone 4 to get some legit buyers and start the bid at $1-5 to get more bidders to look at your product. I never ship overseas because I know the danger of getting ripped off. Also not everyone that has low or 0 feedback is bad, but I still wouldn't take that chance on someone that's overseas...they are known to rip ppl off.

i am a power seller in ebay since 2002

i can 95% tell you this is fraud, buyer with 0 feedback and ask you to ship to philipine with express mail, that means once you shipped and they receive the package the funds will deduct from your account immediately. even you transfer the money from paypal to your bank account and withdrawl. Your bank account will shows negative balance which is you will need to pay back to the bank.

100% suggestion - refund the money to the buyer immediately, relist your auction again with some more detail description.

for example -

accept Money Order/Cashier's Check

accept paypal, but only ship to the confirmed address - at least you're covered under paypal

0 feedback must inform you before bid or hit on buy it now, otherwise will remove immediately without further notice

hope above information can help you out and hope you not being scam.

Check out the completed listings... most auctions with legit looking buyers are about $800 - $900... sure there are some really high but they either have no buyers or very risky buyers (as in this guys case).

Get the money out of the paypal account NOW.

Transfer it to your bank account or anything, just don't leave it with paypal.

Edit: Oh, but the above guy says the money can still get taken from your bank account?

I'd say only sell to US and Europe, and only confirmed addresses with some feedback on the buyer.

Don't get scammed.

sounds shady...I would wait til payment clears and then send him the box with a pic of steve jobs.

When I have tried to ship gifts to a European country with insurance, the USPS said they can't insure foreign packages since they don't have any control of the box once it leaves their possession. Don't know if my office was just giving me bad info, but I wouldn't trust another country to do the needed documentation scans and such. (I don't trust out own post office to get things to the right place.) No way would I try to ebay something like this

I don't think there is any reason to get snappy...money isn't "free" but "profit" is a real thing that can exist for sellers that capitalize on extremely high demand for a product with low supply. I don't see how I have done anything that would "invite" anything negative

Well, it looks like I'll have to be selling the wife's new iPhone...
