Woo hoo! I finally have tracking on my iPhone. Checked this morning and it finally showed up. A few hours later I ended up getting Apple's email that it has shipped with a tracking number.

Thank you so much for adding this info... I was stressing because my wife already received a tracking # from Apple and her phone has been in Louisville, while mine was still "Preparing for Shipment."
This trick worked for me, but ONLY without a zip code... Very strange.Turns out both our phones are in Louisville after all!! Both ordered the 7th around 5:00am, mine's a 64GB Black, hers is a 64GB White.

Just curious but how are you guys figuring out flight schedules? My departure scan from Hong Kong was at 4:20 pm local time so according to most it is on Flight 61 to Alaska and then is apparently getting on a flight to Louisville 3 hours later.
Off topic, but does anyone know what time we can download iOS 5? Back on topic, mine is still sitting in Hong Kong. Still says Friday for the scheduled delivery date though

About 1,000 miles from me! I feel sorry for those even further out west. I wonder if those are the ones that arrived in the US yesterday.
I finally was able to track my package on ups and the above is the last message on there. Has anyone seen this before?
Holy ******, you're discussing which PLANE your new iPhone is on. Take a second to contemplate how obsessive this is.
I placed 2 separate orders for 2 different cell numbers (same family account) as upgrades at apple.com at 11am CST. The black 32GB shipped 2 days ago but the black 64 GB just shipped this morning. Both from China. I was able to get tracking even tho my orders said "shipment processing" by putting in my order number without the last two digits and including my zip code. But it seems that this method only works if the phone has actually already shipped and been in transit for a few hours. My apple order status says shipped for the 32gb and processing for the 64gb still.

Done. Now, I need to find out which seat my iPhone is in and who it's sitting next to (I'd like them to get to know each other: maybe their seat buddies could have a reunion next year). I hope that mine takes pictures of its journey.

I ordered at white 32gb at 7 am eastern..still says preparing for shipment...checked different combos to track by reference on UPS and nothing yet...not gonna lie..getting nervous

Yup, and I didn't get a departure scan from Anchorage, it just *poof* showed up in Louisville.
