My iPhone 4S has shipped!!

Ordered mine through AT&T and it shipped 10/9/11!

Someone on here said to try out iship.com if you have your tracking number. I don't remember who suggested using that site, and can't find the post, but if you have the tracking number I also say try out the site. The info is a little more detailed and up to date faster.

We have the same time! your my planemate! Im wondering what flight it was....
 
I finally got my shipping confirmation about 10 mins ago. When I called Apple yesterday I was told that my phone was already state side and was being shipped from the US and not from China. Well that bitch was wrong! It is coming from China. Left this morning. Well, I guess we will see how good UPS is... China to Maryland in 48 hours.

So if your waiting for your phone and Apple has told you it's stateside already, probably not..

Same thing here. Last scan is in Hong Kong, coming to Arizona.

Even though I've been tracking it for two days, I finally got my Apple shipping notification.

My phone has been sitting in Anchorage since yesterday afternoon. Anyone have any idea when the next flight to Louisville is? :)
 
I'm in iPhone purgatory sitting in Louisville, KY. Looks like Thursday at the earliest now.
 
so i just checked my status and it has shipped via ups but there is an exception. im worried i wont get it on time now.

I just called UPS, and she told me that Apple is not allowing them to release the phones until Friday and that she had a scheduled delivery of Friday end of day...that's why they're all in a holding pattern.

What a disappointment :( last year I got my iPhone 4 a day early, was hoping for the same this year...guess not.

I think mine's on the same shipment to the East Coast. I think what we'll see is it arrive in Anchorage, AK today or tonight, Louisville, KY tomorrow, then your local distribution center tomorrow night for delivery on Friday. I was in Louisville last week near the airport. All they do is fly UPS 747's in and out of that place all day long. Very active. As long as the flights are able to take off and land, we'll have our phones Friday.
 
Received my shipment notification from Apple last night. As of now the phone is in Hong Kong. Houston in 48 hours. Fingers crossed but the delivery status still says by Friday end of day. I'm hoping its not through UPS or at least they don't screw it up. My husband works for UPS and the stories he tells.
 
My iPhone has been parked in Kentucky for some time....no doubt it would have most likely been here today if Apple was not holding the shipment. Definitely seems like they ship it out early so in the case of delays, customers still get their product by the 14th, but no earlier.
 
Mine Shipped Yesterday from Shenzhen, and left Hong Kong at 4:20pm their time. Should be in Alaska very soon. I assume Louisville by tomorrow afternoon.

I am excited for Friday!!

Mine says it has shipped through Fedex, but when I click my tracking number it says cannot track. Says it has been shipped 10/9/11. I ordered through ATT.
Anybody else have this problem?

Thank you so much for adding this info... I was stressing because my wife already received a tracking # from Apple and her phone has been in Louisville, while mine was still "Preparing for Shipment."

This trick worked for me, but ONLY without a zip code... Very strange. :) Turns out both our phones are in Louisville after all!! Both ordered the 7th around 5:00am, mine's a 64GB Black, hers is a 64GB White.
