I think the sheer aspect of possibly receiving the phone earlier than its scheduled release is what has everyone tracking their phone, not because of lack of a life or age. In fact, most of us spent hard earned money on a long awaited product and want the confirmation that it is coming as promised. For some people this is fun, others will think you're nuts. It's a distraction from the everyday crap. Either way, it's going to happen when there's so much hype around a product.

I think the numbers would surprise everyone.

It's hilarious, tracking down flight numbers, taking wild guesses at departure times, or exact locations of a package that might or might not be your phone.

Acting like their long lost child who was just released from a middle east prison is on their way home after 20 years away or something.

How will some of these people cope with life when forced to face actual problems. No way will siri help them cover this months mortgage payment.

Like I said, if it's what you want, I don't see the harm. But, you have to admit, my point of view, and my expression of that doesn't do you any harm either. So we will agree to allow each other our feelings regardless to how much they might not match.

Again, I'm not the most patriotic sort, and disagree greatly with much of what we do as a country, but the one thing I have and always will support is our military, so thank you for your service.

Side note: the immature people in this thread are the ones telling us we are immature for tracking flights, etc. I have never tracked a flight but I understand those who do.

Adults like a lot of us in this thread have busy schedules, bills and a lot more. Everytime Apple releases a new product like the 4S, all the stress going on with us right now just goes away, even for 10 minutes when looking up the flights, etc.

For crying out loud, man, I just reread your initial post, and it's not just a "different point of view" that can't be handled by "defensive" people: it was meant to be insulting to everyone here, and you know it. When Alonzo called you on it, you did indeed get a softer (though not necessarily offensive) tone. You backed off with the "I only said 'some' not 'all'" garbage, then you get on a high horse about "what's important".

So, if not everyone, who exactly were you "differing with" here by implying that they were children/childish, living with parents, not gainfully employed, unable to cope with life and face actual problems, and unable to think critically?

I double checked the flights out of Anchorage and there is like 10 of them all about 5 min apart headed towards Louisville, KY.

Guessing there are a lot of phones headed that way.

Uhh... can you say "out of context"? My reference to the S being "stupid" was when discussing the report that Sprint dropped 20 BILLION dollars to have exclusive rights to selling the iPhone.

I have been a Sprint customer for many years and have seen their stock value tank. To put that much money in one phone would indeed be, what I said... stupid.

As for my purchase, hell yeah I bought one. I love Apple products and have said that here time and time again.

I hate fanboyism is all, that has been clear and obvious since my first post.

You know if I had to guess then yes, that would be my assumption. Maybe they needed to hold some flights to let KY catch up?

The flights to Louisville KY from Anchorage that are departing after the flight from Hong Kong gets there are in Alaska local time 2:32pm currently:

1. UPS 51 at 3:10pm
2. UPS 63 at 3:16pm
3. UPS 61 at 3:19pm
4. UPS 81 at 3:20pm
5. UPS 105 at 3:38pm

Thats all of the flights that it shows leaving today headed for Louisville and hope my phone is on one of them as one of these flights will probably one of the last flights that would reasonably get my phone to me on Friday.
