We're reaching the end here guys, We have less than 24 hours until the majority of us get our iPhones (Or they are at least loaded onto the delivery truck)

It has been... interesting.

I only have to wonder just how much shorter some of the members life spans are now due to the increased stress from this past week.

The next thing will be yellow screens...proximity issues...flakey home buttons or some other new defect. :D

If you check on flightstats.com, it looks like UPS has a whole bunch of flights leaving from Louisville between 2-5 AM today and a few more from 2:30-6:30 PM. The one that makes the most sense to me left at 4:16 AM today, but maybe it's really not going to leave until tomorrow morning.

Well I sold my IP4 to fund the 4S. I have been rockin a RAZR V3XX in gold all week. Its been a loooooonnnnng week.

"LIKE Z0MG!!! Siri totally told me she doesn't love me!!! Also, the GPS is off by three meters!!! MY LIFE IS RUINED!!!"

Since it's been asked and answered at least (seriously) 100 times in this thread, here it is in big letters:

THESE SHIPMENTS ARE NOT USUAL WORLDWIDE EXPRESS.
THEY ARE WORLD EASE, WHICH HAS UNIQUE COMMITMENT TERMS.

THE TERMS FOR OUR PACKAGES ARE:
DELIVERY BY END OF DAY.

Okay? So can we stop going in circles on this question?

One of two things will happen:

1) You're wrong and the 3 UPS reps I spoke with are correct that the delivery commitment WILL BE MET.

2) You're right and the 3 UPS reps I spoke with are incorrect and it WILL NOT BE MET.

The sheer volume is also dispersed across the ENTIRE county, not all to one state or area. Therefore, I bet the delivery times have a lot to do with the amount of phones being delivered on EACH INDIVIDUAL UPS route.

When mine arrives by noon I will make sure to quote you again to remind you that you and you big letters were wrong.

He said "by the end of day", not "at the end of day"

If you get your phone by noon, what he said would be most certainly correct.

I meant to say "by the end of the day" when I quoted him. I did not interpret his statement as meaning at the end of the day.

I simply disagree with his assessment that the 12pm guarantee will not be honored. Right or wrong, the phones will be here tomorrow.

I do not understand how what I said isn't clear? He says the terms are by the end of the day, I say the terms are that of Worldwide Express, by 12 noon.

I don't recall ever being told the phones would be delivered by noon, guaranteed. In fact, most carriers are saying by Saturday.

Looks like the flight to Orlando is scheduled for 4:26 PM, so hopefully my phone will be on that one. Woo!

The Worldwide Express info page says by 12 noon.

I spoke to 3 UPS reps (slow day at the office) and all 3 said that the package will be delivered by noon. That is all I know. I HOPE they are right. If not, oh well.

UPS own guarantee on site and 3 reps = Taking their word for it.

My letters will not be wrong if yours gets delivered at 7:00AM. It's BY end of day. Not AT end of day.

Fair enough.

You said the guarantee is by end of day for Worldwide Express. I said the guarantee is by noon.

I still <3 you.

Wow, this is all very open to personal interpretation.

I mean, personally I don't care. I work all day anyways. :D

Haha, I wish I was in the same boat because I would get it tomorrow for sure. I have to leave at noon to go to South Florida for the night so if it isn't there by noon I won't get it until Satuday afternoon or Monday?

That might explain my unwillingness to accept any other possibility besides delivery by noon.

My problem is that I need to go stand in line for my wife's 4S even despite preordering one for myself... I'm getting in line in the middle of the night just to be extra sure I GTFO of the :apple: Store ASAP in the morning, but still, if it gets delivered at 9AM, I'm gonna miss it. I'll survive, but you know... it would be nice to have it in the morning. Especially because I don't have to work on Fridays.

I hear you man, I hope it all works out perfectly for you... I would suggest that whatever phone you get first, give to your wife. Then the other, take for yourself. :D

The iPhone is nice, but not having to sleep on the couch is better. ;)

I ordered from Verizon on release day and got an email saying my order was set to be delivered by the 21st. I was cool with waiting another week, but today I got an email saying my order had shipped. When I track the order it says:

"A UPS shipping label has been created. Once the shipment arrives at our facility, the tracking status--including the scheduled delivery date--will be updated."

The order is also shipping UPS Next Day Air Saver®. Is this typical and it just means they are preparing my order for shipping? Or should I expect a delivery sooner than I originally expected?

I imagine you will be getting it tomorrow. I know allot of Verizon delivery estimates changed back to the 14th. I ordered my partner's 16GB black from Verizon since I couldn't get another order into Apple after I ordered mine, his said the 21st but then switched back to tomorrow.

Normally, Worldwide Express shipments are indeed guaranteed delivered by noon. BUT -- Because our iPhones were shipped under a World Ease contract, the delivery commitments (and all other logistical specs) are defined on a per-contract basis. In our case, the contract for this World Ease shipment specified a delivery commitment of "by end of day," and specified the shipping speed (and thus the means) to be classified as Worldwide Express. This allowed UPS to ship by Air, while still maintaining reasonable delivery windows within a very small timeframe (a single day).

I have to leave at noon to go to South Florida for the night so if it isn't there by noon I won't get it until Satuday afternoon or Monday?

That might explain my unwillingness to accept any other possibility besides delivery by noon.

Likewise, I admit that I may be biased in the opposite direction. If my delivery happens too early in the morning, I'll miss it and be in the same boat.

Oh, and I <3 you too... man.
