so if we are not meant to put a phone in our pocket, where should we put it? up our asses? useless sheep defending, cant wait till those morons phones bend.
i know right, or maybe all the guys should follow the women and get pocketbooks. im sure the hipsters on here already have them, they are the ones saying to not use pocketsIt's simple - dont take it with you. The phone is not meant to be carried around. It's made for looking pretty while lying on a table![]()

I'll admit it, I was a denier. I believed that the only phones bending were the + and from being put in a back pocket. Well yesterday I noticed my 6 was bent. I've had it not even a week, and have babied it. It was kept in a case. I also don't wear skinny jeans, just normal. I keep my phone screen in, yet it bent outwards. Also note from the picture that it bent on the volume side not the power button, showing that its a weak point.
I don't know what to do. Obviously I can get an exchange (Bought from Verizon), but do I want that? This is a wider spread problem than Apple or anyone is making it seem, so I don't want to keep going through replacements. I'm pretty disappointed in Apple.
At this point I'm tempted to get an android, maybe a Moto X2 or HTC One M8. This is just unacceptable and I don't see it being fixed. What would y'all do?
so after so many bent iphones, people over here still defend apple? truly amazing.

How do you figure its a "Bad Batch"? What did Apple miraculously go back in time and change the Alloy composition for the phones that aren't t bent?
Give it a few months, iPhone 6 Pluses will look like St Louis Arch across the whole world and at that point every fool in this forum thats in denial will officially have their mouths permanently shut.
Oh and....Thats coming from one of the biggest Apple Fan boys in this forum, between my company and personal life I probably own 40 iPhones, 10 Macs and 20 Plus iPads, I spent upwards of 50 Grand with Apple in the last couple years, the least they could do is build me a phone that won't bend in my pocket when when I sit down to take my family on a Halloween Hay Ride wearing loose shorts. It BS.

I have a 5C that I have carried on my person and in my pockets (front and back) for a year... It don't bend!
Clearly the iphone six is a weak phone. It has been proven to be poorly designed.
I think he was referring the the fact that the consumer report tested the phone with the force being applied in the middle of the phone whereas the weakest area is by the volume button which is where we always see the bend.
Yes, some people mention physics and this is exactly it. In fact, the reason why people are reporting bending from sitting is exactly that. The force is not applied evenly and if there is enough force applied by the volume button then it bends there.
We don't know how strong the area around the volume button is as no one has tested it properly. To me, the consumer report is too generic and is not much help to be honest. I can bet you that if they tested the phone where they would be applying the force in the volume area then I can assure you that the force needed to bend it would be much less. Then I would want to see how much would people find it acceptable.
People defend Apple which I do understand. I want to defend it too but for some reason this time I'm just a bit cautious and I'm waiting this one out before I purchase my iPhone 6 (despite being on 4). I think that in a month or two we will see how this pans out and if it really is a problem or just a huge media bubble orchestrated by other companies.
One thing is certain. The volume buttons area is weak as all the bends are pretty much the same. All Apple might need to do is quietly update that area with little more enforcement and everything is cool. Whether or not its needed is another issue but only time will tell.
I hope this will get sorted quickly cause I can't be waiting any longer. My iPhone 4 is just way way slow and I was looking forward to this iPhone 6 for a long long time.))
Proven by who and with what study?
Random people saying it bent is not proof. Do you have a phone that has bent?
All I am saying is that the plus model is not a phone that IMO can be sat on in a back pocket. Doesn't mean there is a flaw in the design.
----------
That is exactly what certain people want you to feel like. The bottom line is that you can't disregard the 10s on millions that don't have this issue and worry that that few 'reported' bending issue will happen to you.

YI've tested few phones in the apple store and some have a tiny bend you can only 'prove' but putting the phone face down on the table and see the wobble but most people out of those 10mil won't notice that cause they just don't care.
No, the regular iPhone 6 will NOT bend in your front pocket. It's impossible.
I wear slim jeans and chinos and other pants that sit well. Not extremely tight but slim. I've had my iPhone 6 in my front pocket every day since I got it. I can sit, walk, run etc. etc. and I barely feel any pressure with my phone in my pocket.
Simply, iPhone 6 will not bend in your front pocket. It's not possible.
And it never occurred to you that idiots are "bend testing" the iPhones in stores, hence the reason why it seems some of them are bent?
I'm willing to guess that every Apple store has a few bent phones because of ma-roons deciding to see if the rumors of bending are really true.
You're taking that so much further than where it started. Who said or suggested that Apple's products were indestructible? I said I find it hard to believe that they are sitting in their lab about to release a new product and the first thing on their mind is "We know this xxx-Product is going to bend". That's exactly what you said and that's just not a reality.
i think at this point anyone who is still trying to defend apple and blaming owners is clearly delusional.
Box Therapy beardy guy.

If you pocket your iPhone 6 Plus and it bends then it's your fault. End of story. These phones are not designed to be carried in pockets. You do it at your own risk, but please don't go crying to Apple if you do bend your phone. They should not be expected to eat the costs of damage caused by your decisions.
