No, but just because it hasn happened to me doesn't mean it hasn't happened to someone else under normal use.

Listen to yourself, you're trying to defend a company that obviously has a design flaw near the volume buttons due to the need to go "thinner". I mean the camera sticks out of the phone, it's no surprise this is happening.

It was a simple question. Listen to YOURSELF. Calm down.

I'm calm, I would've stated in my original post if I bent it. I know you were trying to compare that mine hasn't bent under normal use so the OP must have done something wrong. Just wanted to state it's obvious that Apple has a design issue. This is a REAL problem, worse than the antenna issue people tried claiming with the 4.

I think you should listen to yourself trying to defend nameless posters on Macrumors that there must be a defect.

You have'nt see the issue with your phone or anyone that you know, but because you read a few threads of people 'claiming' this happened under normal use, you jump to the conslusion that this must be a defect.

There is a defect. Obviously it's not as ridiculous as the kid bending his phone on YouTube but my buddy's 6 is bent.

He had dress pants on with the Apple Silicone case and bent it while getting into his truck. He left the phone in his pocket and he's convinced that while stretching up into the vehicle his phone bent by the volume buttons. He had AppleCare but the Apple Store replaced it for free since it was minimal and my the obvious intentional bend.

Would you claim getting into a truck with a phone in your pocket abnormal use?

LOL, I said none of the sort so that's your own theory and you couldn't be more wrong. I just wanted to know for the people that have iPhone 6 Plus's (besides myself) who's not having any bending issues under normal use. Plain and simple.

I will say this though, you're defending the OP when you really know nothing that happened. You weren't there anymore than the people that disbelieve him so you're not making yourself look any better fighting for his honor on the forum.

Well ****, just placed my phone flat on my glass table and noticed a very very slight curve. More noticeable near the sim card slot. Lets see how things progress from here on out. Barely even had it in my normal sized jean pockets.

Another bent one....I think if everyone with a 6 plus did a real check like you just did the bent number would skyrocket. Once tweaked the metal becomes weaker.....

I personally can't wait until all these "I never use a case" types are forced to use one for fear of bending

An easy way to prevent the issue, just that some people are just so stubborn sometimes.

Ok, you may say I'm defending the OP without knowing anything but you're defending Apple without knowing anything so you're pretty much doing the same thing.

Just checked mine. I'm still OK. But then again I've changed my habits so I'm babying it. And that's not really ideal or fair for me now is it.

You can get it replaced under warranty but then you're at the mercy of the Apple Genius. All it takes is some joker to make it a bad day for him and *boom that'll be $79 for an Applecare Plus replacement thank you. Eff that. Not to mention the gas and time it'll waste for me to get it replaced.

Don't get me wrong I love my 6 Plus a lot, but the thing is if there's truly a design flaw then Apple has to step up to the plate and take responsibility. They have to clarify their exchange policy across the board for such a flaw if it exists. None of that Genius's discretion BS. I want a hassle-free exchange, especially if there's a known design flaw. Nothing less than that. If Apple takes the right steps to address this then this nonsense can be put to rest once and for all.

Now you're making stuff up because I have not been defending Apple at all. Take a good look at my recent posts. They've all been about my frustration at people coming here putting the company on blast in order to sabotage the sales of the iPhone 6. Seems to be that people are refusing to do the LOGICAL thing and call the store where they bought it from (or Apple) and deal with them on the matter. Instead people want to gather here for a pity party and does nothing but spread FUD....and I have a pretty good idea that was their plan from jump street. YOU on the other hand have been jumping in people's faces for not believing in the OP. At least with Apple people know who they are dealing with. You don't know the OP and you've never seem him so don't jump on people here for not believing in a cyberspace human's word.

The genius's don't make those types of calls, it's always a manager call.

I have to say I was on the fence on this bending thing. Until I got home today to put a new case on my wife's 6+. Took off the old case....and I seen the screen was popped out a little. I pushed it back into place. Although you can't really make out a "bent" on the phone, it does wobble on the table now screen down. I will continue to monitor it. She's definitely not a happy camper :(

I've been on this forum since 2010 so I'm not trying to jump in people's faces without a cause. Face it, no one takes the bending serious until it happens to them. I can't wait to laugh in the faces of people attacking these posts when it happens to them.

You need to return it.

Out of the 14 day policy......

Take it to the Apple Store and plead your case. Even if they make you pay a little you can eBay the replacement and get good money out of it. Do it soon because the bent issue is real and is gaining momentum. Dump the plus while there is still a market for it.

All of that test equipment that Apple was so quick to show off only proves to me that Apple knew the phones were going to bend.
You don't need all of that testing to tell you whether they can bend.
You need it to tell you when they will bend.
Apple obviously thought that the problem wouldn't appear so soon but it looks like they miscalculated.

Wow. You do realize that litterally every other major phone maker runs the same tests on their devices right?

Proof? Or it is just a story.

Yes, but you get more attention when you bash Apple. Nobody cares about the defects that other manufacturer's phones have, because then they'll be whining in the same forest where trees fall and nobody hears it.

Not trying to downplay the possibility that the bent phone issue could be widespread, I just think it's ridiculous to see all of these so-called "consumer advocates" appear out of nowhere and pretend to be some noble force of righteousness. Yeah, we get it, Apple is awful for letting this happen... now go buy a Samsung, HTC, or Nokia phone and enjoy that instead.

Would you like pictures of the truck, the pants or the phone? Maybe a video and the weather conditions on the day??

You are on a forum bud! Every post you could question lol.

So you want people's phones to break just to prove your point? Shameful, seriously. Very shameful. I'm certain you won't get the last laugh.
