Now that I have been running iOS 4.1 (greenpois0n jailbreak) on my iPhone 4 for a while, I thought I would post what packages I have installed, with short descriptions.

I consider all of them necessary. I have removed all packages that I was not using or deemed junk.

Thanks for the list. This is a great way to keep track of what's installed in your iPhone but also easy for beginners like me to find a starting point. Thanks!

I can't really find iAdsKiller in Cydia and searching for it on Google just gives questionable repos from websites I have never heard of. Not a very promising start.

I downloaded it from from a web site as deb file.

I have enclosed it here.

Lockscreen dim delay--> I use this in order to keep SpringFlash activated with the screen off. By default you only get 20 seconds and then you have to activate the screen. Now I can have the flashlight on as long as I want without the screen being on!

What setting do you set the Lockscreen dim delay to? Not sure if I understand...when you are at the lockscreen, are you able to keep the flashlight on indefinitely while your phone is locked and the screen is off? Could you please explain this in a little more detail....sorry for being a noob!

I never understood Infinidock. That's what the springboard is for...why would I want to scroll my dock when I have a springboard? It's cool that it can be done. I just don't get why I would want to do it.

I don't like quoting myself......but sometimes I change my opinion and this is one of those times.

I bought Infinidock because I wanted to throw a buck chpwn's way. I installed Infinidock and let it replace Five Icon Dock. I figured that if I all I needed were five icons in the dock, I would be fine. If I needed more I would be covered too.

After playing with Infinidock for a while, I concluded I was right in regards to using it to hold icons. While scroll when I have a springboard? So, I decided to leave my normal five icons on page 1. But, I did have an epiphany of sorts. On page 2 I installed my five most used jailbreak apps. Configured this way, I have two dock modes: regular every day smart phone mode and jailbreak mode. This works pretty well.

So, I was right all along. But, I was wrong in that I could used it a different way. So I threw chpwn some coin and made my iPhone work better in the process. A win-win and a learning experience.

I didn't want to start a new thread for this so thought I'd ask here - do you know if asVibra2 works with 4.1

I've installed it but it's not working, wondered if I'd not done something correct.

Thanks

It works fine on my iPhone. Do you have the switch set to silent mode?

Yes. I installed it, rebooted the phone too just in case, but still I only get the one vibrate with SMS. Any other ideas? I have an iP4 with 4.1

I have the same iPhone and iOS version you have and it works fine for me. Where did you get it from? Are you sure you installed asVibra 2 for 4.0?

Has anybody tried hooking USB Drive to a Car Radio with USB?

It would be cool if they could some how add an iPod function to that if it is possible.

Sidewinder, from your list I take it SBOrganizer works for you on 4.1? I tried Springback and it did nothing. Will SBOrganizer work for a custom iconoclasm layout + iBlanks on 4.1?

My iPhone 4 runs perfect. No battery life issues and it still has plenty of memory left (usually over 330MB).

S-

how do you check how much memory you have left? Is that the SBS Settings where it says "available memory" or is that something different?

The only reason I have SBOrganizer is so that PkgBackup will backup my springboard layout. I don't actually use it at all. I don't use Iconoclasm or iBlank so I can't answer that question. Sorry....

SBSettings --> SBSettings Options --> *Statusbar Free Mem --> ON

Might be a dumb question but is anyone having trouble locating iAdKiller in cydia? Can't seem to find it..

From the description in cydia, iAdkiller compatible for 4.0 - 4.0.1 only.
Anyone can confirm with 4.1 compatibility?
