Since your new 3GS has video recording on it, you should have recorded the scene. That would have played out much nicer, I think
Funny because I don't know how he managed to just continue the conversation.
He was looking at a case, got into a discussion about a warranty, did the doors lock? Were you unable to just leave?
Edit: I see that the OP sees the silliness in this and while the AT&T rep is funny and stupid all in one, the whole situation leaves me with a shaking head.![]()
You wouldn't have had such a horrible experience if you didn't act like an 8 year old and decided that you absolutely HAD to be right no matter what. Who gives a **** if he was misinformed? Does it really make a difference who's right in that situation? You could've easily just stopped, shrugged off and left as opposed to making a scene in the store. I think you're an imbecile.
And people wonder where the "Apple users are all rich, stuck-up pricks" stereotype comes from...
Just sayin'.
1. 1. iPhone comes with 90 Days of technical support. AppleCare Protection Plan benefits are in addition to any legal rights provided by consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction.
2. 2. This plan extends your service coverage to two years from the date of your iPhone purchase. The plan must be purchased while your iPhone is still under its original one-year warranty. Service coverage may be subject to certain restrictions.
With the exception of North Carolina, the company obligated under the AppleCare Protection Plan in the United States is AppleCare Service Company, Inc., an Arizona corporation and wholly owned subsidiary of Apple, Inc., doing business in Texas as Apple CSC Inc. In North Carolina, the company obligated under the AppleCare Protection Plan is Apple, Inc. For complete details see terms at www.apple.com/legal/applecare/appgeos.html
Yeah the guy was wrong. Period. That's from's site. Just shows you that At&t really are a bunch of ruh-tards.

Oh the irony.

If this salesman was giving people misinformation to scare them into getting the apple care now then the OP has every right to correct him and let his manager know what his employee is doing. Would you want your mom or anyone who doesn't know how this works to get ripped off by this jerk. I'm all for walking away from a situation when you can but this is different. If you saw someone steal something would you say anything or not want to get involved, I would hope most people would say something.
That argument doesn't apply here. The salesman was not going to change his information, he believed he was right and that's it. The OP wasn't going to change his mind. The other thing is, the OP was not going to buy AppleCare even if the salesman changed his tune. I'd say they both were wrong and both sound immature.
I have to say:
YOU were right.
However, YOU decided somewhere in this scenario to keep it going. You were obviously dealing with a jerk. Someone who WILL not admit "wrong". OK. That's a character flaw. I bet that person has a lifetime of wrecked relationships to prove it.
But you, you were very aware and wise as to what was going on.
You should have walked away MUCH sooner. Instead you engaged this person.
You are partly to blame here...
