That is because the brown cases suits the black front better.

After going through the a lot of the case threads when I got my iPhone 6 I found that most people liked the brown with the black front and navy blue with the white fronted phones. Then you had the other colours like black that went with both colours.
Well you're the first person I heard say that. Most people says it goes with white best, even reviewers on with all the phone colors and case colors say it looks best on a white front YouTube. Opinions though.

I'm going by what people were using on some of the longer threads here. The majority were going with navy on the white fronted phone and brown on the black. We didn't have saddle brown until the 6s arrived.

Yeah last years phones were that that way, but I think Saddle brown looks much better with the white iPhones. Well expect the rose gold one.

Tried applying the Saphir Renovateur for the apple saddle brown leather case: pics below:

Some colour rub-off from the case; the Renovateur is actually a (shoe) leather conditioner and cleaner. It's suppose to remove any previous dirt build up.

i personally don't think there's any difference though... since my case wasn't that dirty to begin with.

Does anyone know of any stores that sell these? I don't have an Apple store near me and I would prefer to not order it online if possible.

last year my local best buy had a ton of the apple leather cases in stock. haven't been by in a while but may check there. target may be limited IF they sell any at all.

I wish I could buy Robert's case, with the wear and tear, that's how I wish mine would look .. fingers crossed, placing order now (with apple)

Best Buy does. Best Buy is partnered with Apple so you can find Apple products there including Macs, iPads, iPhones, and official Apple accessories.

Get the Best Buy app and do an in store pickup order. Takes like 5 minutes once in store and you can obviously check ahead of time if they have stock. Two of my three local best buys only had 6 leather case not newer 6s version.

I meant the waterproofer didn't change the colour of the leather.

In my opinion and experience of using the case for the last 3 weeks, the waterproofer does protect and preserve the original colour of the case, but just to a certain extent. You can see that my case has darkened/worn in around the edges where I hold it the most and I don't think that can be prevented (but can be minimised)
Thanks for clarifying. Usually I would prefer a slightly worn look, but I don't really like the way it wears - looks more like dirt buildup around the sides than a genuine worn look. I'll definitely use a waterprrofer to slow the wearing process down. Thanks for sharing.

Got my second saddle leather case for my Gold 6s+ today. This one isn't slippery at all like the first one. I sent back 5 leather cases because of how slippery they were. This one isnt slippery much and it's not even broken in yet because I've only had it for almost 4 hours. So I finally found the perfect one, and I'll be keeping this one until next year when I get the 7

Yes well two of them were scratched up on the back when I got them, the other 3 were slippery and I didn't really like the midnight blue all that much. So I got this saddle one, and its awesome. So when I get the 7+ next year I'll now to go with Saddle or just black.

So if they were slippery why did you keep buying them? I don't think Apple has changed anything about the case.

My plan was to just go caseless. It was all going well until a few days ago I was getting into the car and dropped my brand new 700 dollar Gold iPhone 6s+ on the road. It fell out of my pocket and the top has a pretty significant chip on it so does bottom left corner. Also the screen sort of popped out of place on the top right corner. So I said forgot I need a case. And the only cases I think look classy are the Apple leather ones.

Oh ok. I really do not think the cases have changed much over the last month. Maybe the color differ in grip? Who knows

Here's my contribution of my 6s space grey. Patina starting to show in few areas:

So I got some Apple Leather Care cleaner and conditioner. Can anyone give some advice on how often to use and how long to let it sit before using it after application? Thanks!

Update: After the initial cleaning and then a light coat of conditioner, followed by a second light coat shortly after- the leather has become more supple and soft. Still a little slippy with dry hands but the feel is starting to slowly get better. The color, of course is becoming beautiful with every passing day.

Love these cases - I've got three of them, and as much as I'd prefer to use the phone naked, it's just too slippery for me. These cases provide just the right amount of grip. I also love the way they wear over time! Check out the photo of my brown leather case from almost one year ago below. One question though:

For anybody whose been using a leather case for the past year or so with the iP6, have you noticed any discoloration on the white antenna bands? And if you have, is there a good known way to remove them? I've noticed the brown has rubbed off quite a bit on the white antenna lines, which is not a huge issue - but when it comes time to resell, I'd like to find a way to clean it up nicely. Standard microfiber and cleaning solution has not worked. Have also tried hand sanitizer to no avail. Thoughts?

Sorry, but this just looks disgusting to me. Also last year's leather is quite different than this year's leather. The saddle leather is a fine European leather. Quite a bit smoother and a little thicker material than last year. I used last year's black leather for almost a year. That case is absolutely amazing! No discoloration on my phone. It looks like your case has gotten wet quite a few times which could have caused the color to rub off on your phone.

How's the feel after the Saphir?
I'd like to clean my 6 leather Midnight Blue case.

Feels kinda "moist" after applying the renovateur, I'd suggest letting the leather breathe for about an hour before putting the phone back into the case.

But overall it'll be less slippery over time after using the renovateur.
