For those looking for water propellant for this case, I took the plunge and sprayed this onto the case - no damage or discolouring and it makes it feel grippier

I'm from Australia so maybe only available here...
When you say no discolouring, do you mean that the colour/look has not changed immediately after spraying it with the waterproofer or do you mean that the original colour is still preserved a few weeks/months after?

Unlike many, I like to preserve the original look and am not really digging the 'worn' look seen from the pictures shared. The case looks kinda dirty imo rather than a genuine 'worn' look. :|

Thanks for sharing the tip.

I have to agree it really does look amazing, it totally transforms the phone. I didn't really want a gold and white phone because i am not keen on gold, and i don't really like the white fronted phones either, i much prefer space grey and black, but i bought the gold because i got it for a very good price. But i really like it now it has the saddle brown case fitted, it has gone from what i think is quite an ugly phone to something that looks classy and quality, it looks even better when it is being used and the screen is lit up.

I think Apple possibly may have made some revisions to the case from when it was first launched because i don't seem to be having some of the issues other people are having with fit and finish and stiffness of the buttons.

My case isn't very slippy, i would say only slightly, but i probably wouldn't even have thought about if had i not read this thread, but it is a little bit, but from what i have read on here that will soon wear off.

My buttons were a little bit stiff at first, so i just turned the phone off and repeatedly pressed the buttons for a few minutes and now they are pretty much broke in, they will probably be perfect with just a couple of days use.

The fit feels perfect, not to stiff yet not to slack, just right. This on on a 6 not a 6s, i think maybe it fits the 6 better from what i have read on here, some say there's is very tight on the 6s.

People have complained of the corners bellowing out on the bottom corners, at first i thought mine was perfect, but on closer inspection i think there is a tiny bit off bellowing on the bottom left hand corner, but only a tiny bit, again if i hand't read this thread i don't think i would have even noticed it.

So you can probably tell i am very happy with this case, well worth the £35 is cost. It suits the gold phone so well, its as if this colour was especially bought out for the gold version, the bits of gold you can see at the bottom and the camera surround just blend so well between the white and brown.

Now the hard part, to find a decent screen protector, i have been reading for hours and it is an absolute minefield out there, i thought it was hard enough choosing a case, but the screen protector search is proving much more difficult.

The reason you are not having the issues some of us have had is because you have the 6. It is not as thick as the 6S, so the case fits it much better.

I thought that might be the reason, Apple need to bring out separate cases for the 6 and 6s then.

I've not used a screen protector since I've owned my 6 Plus. Almost a year now and no scratches at all.

I was thinking about not using one but not sure. I have always used the plastic ones in the past, and even though i look after my phones they still get lots of little scratches on them, but i would think the iPhone screen would be a lot more scratch resistant than a bit of plastic, i am really not sure whether to try it bare or not, problem is once its scratched its scratched, and then it will effect the resale value a lot.

Do you drop your phone a ton? If you drop it face down on an uneven surface it's possible to crack with the apple case but not likely unless over 5 feet. A glass protector can lessen the force to the phone glass. If you don't drop it a lot you don't need a glass protector to help with shatter protection imo.

It's very hard to scratch these screens. You can get micro scratches from sand but to see them you need to turn off the display and hold it up close very close to your eye under direct bright sunlight (OCD). Doesn't change use ability of phone in any way.

When you say no discolouring, do you mean that the colour/look has not changed immediately after spraying it with the waterproofer or do you mean that the original colour is still preserved a few weeks/months after?

I meant the waterproofer didn't change the colour of the leather.

In my opinion and experience of using the case for the last 3 weeks, the waterproofer does protect and preserve the original colour of the case, but just to a certain extent. You can see that my case has darkened/worn in around the edges where I hold it the most and I don't think that can be prevented (but can be minimised)

Agreed. My bottom left (front) is pretty dark after 3 weeks and that's from regular use and some waterproofing. Definitely not everyone's cup of tea- but it's unique I suppose.

No never drop my phone, i gets put in and out of my pocket and sometimes put it in my rucksack, always try to avoid putting it near anything like keys. You've almost convinced me to go with a bare screen, might take the gamble and give it a try.

You should post some pics. We need more white on saddle pics in this thread.

Keys or even a knife won't scratch your phone the metal is too soft for the glass.

Rub sand paper even lightly on the screen will wreck it.

Will try and get some up tomorrow evening, too busy at the moment restoring my phone and trying to work out why some of my photos are doubling up.

One thing I learned in this thread is, everyone has a space grey iPhone.

That is because the brown cases suits the black front better.

Which is strange considering saddle brown doesn't really suit the space grey phones, it looks much better on the white fronted phones.

After going through the a lot of the case threads when I got my iPhone 6 I found that most people liked the brown with the black front and navy blue with the white fronted phones. Then you had the other colours like black that went with both colours.

Naw the saddle looks better with white and gold.
