only jokin` kid... but dont worry you will get it next month... at least you have your HEALTH

I bet the OP didn't expect these responses.

But, seriously, try Apple stores after class. They usually have a large amount of phones available and you might just find one!

I suggest you go read up some sob story (I read ones from China) when you are frustrated with relatively mundane issues in life. Works every time.

Here's my story of how I got my iPhone 4 and what I'd recommend.

Be one of the first in line on Saturday morning. The lines are super short and they're almost sure to have some in stock somewhere. This is because some of the people that were expected to pick up their preorders didn't show up. They'll be more lenient on how many iPhones to hold in stock on the second day.

I showed up on the second day after iPhone 4 release and there were about 5 people in line, and all of us got phones quickly.

Yeah but too bad Apple doesn't have in store reservations this time around.

Wow, that really does suck. Sooo hard, man.

There are entire villages of starving children in Africa weeping for your tragedy. My friend, who has terminal cancer and lost his father suddenly to heart disease last week really feels for you.

Let me get all the people of Congo, Liberia, Zimbabwe, Burundi, Central African Republic, Niger, Ethiopia and others on the line and tell them...

...oh whats that? They're too busy dying from famine and disease to come to the phone?

Wow, poor folks, now these billion people will never know just how horrible your single solitary little life is going.

I woke up at 2:45 am and am getting mine next Friday. Slacker.

How WILL you survive?

Think of it this way: you have a working phone in your hands right now. And you'll get a new one eventually. Be thankful; not everyone can be as fortunate as you are, that your angst over a phone is the biggest problem you have.

If it's any consolation, I had to go a week without any phone, of any kind, when my 3GS was stolen a week before the 4 launched. I made it through and I actually kinda think I'm a better person for it, even if at the end of the day, it was a pretty trivial problem to have.

Stuff like this reminds me of that scene in "Bruce Almighty" where he is in a traffic jam and is late, he gets really upset and explains "this is the worst day of my life" or something to that affect, while passing by wreckage as the ambulance loads the body from the accident that caused that traffic jam.

Please read! So I woke up at 5 am EST to order this phone, sold out. I figure, okay, I'll go to Sprint. They wanted 125 in tax, which I didnt have for the 16GB model. School's out, I decide to spend the extra on Sprint.com to get it delivered next Friday. I'm on the bus now, and I am on the confirmation page. My iPhone says delivers 9/21, and I'm happy. It wont complete the transaction on the iPhone. UGH. I rush home, only to find that by mere seconds I missed the boat for Sprint and now everyone is out of stock, and I am without an iPhone.

FML! I am seriously extremely angry right now! I can't wait in lines because of school, so essentially I am screwed until next month.:mad::mad::mad::mad:
I recommend that you wait in line. Wait in line for a couple hours vs. a month wait for the next shipment. Skip your class, call in sick and tough it out for the line.
