Wrong and wrong.

It's the camera and it's NORMAL.

I wouldn't be so quick to judge that. I just tested the sleep/wake button by holding it down and then shaking the phone and I didn't hear a rattle. Without holding it down, I hear a semi-rattle.

If your sleep/wake button is that loose - take it back. Same goes for the silent switch.

Any "rattling" beyond that, is in the camera and again, it's normal.

It's a damn button, its suppose to move and I'm not complaining. I was just saying what I found out with all the people complaining about the rattle.

Don't tell me what I hear and what I don't. I held the sleep/wake button down and it wasn't making any noise. I let go and then shook it again, and it has a semi-rattle to it - THAT I DON't CARE ABOUT.

Went to the Apple Store today and they agreed about the loose sleep/power button. Happily exchange it for a new one.

The new phone has no rattle at all. Nice and quiet...as it should be.

Oh Crap! I just tried to furiously shake my new IP4 from Verizon and I don't hear a rattle like everyone else! I think I will call Apple and Verizon to complain that mine doesn't rattle like it should and maybe get a replacement phone that will rattle!

I am so disappointed with the build quality of Apple... all iphones should rattle!

Give it a few weeks of using the silent/ring button loosing it up a bit and you will hear the rattle again..

Macvy Ricky looking at your past posts you seem to find something wrong with everything you buy. So my question is why do you keep buying apple products if you constantly find things wrong?

I was about to say the same thing. It's more than likely he or she does not own any of these items.

mine (VZ iphone) makes a rattle, its prominent with the Sleep/Wake button.
The only other rattle i hear is faint if put my finger over the sleep/wake is within the camera mechanism.

I'm not sure if the sleep/wake button is loose as i gently tap it (not pushing/holding down), makes a clicking/rattle sound

Take it to the Apple Store

I just switched from Verizon and I had the same problem with my iphone4. The first iphone 4 I had with AT&T was stolen three weeks after I got it, but I never had a rattling problem with it, and my husband's didn't rattle either. When I finally got a new iphone, it rattled horribly. It started out with a slight rattle and within a few days, escalated to the point that I was afraid my phone would break. I took it into the store and the Apple store Specialist took my phone apart. It wasn't any of the buttons or the camera - it was behind the screen but not in the back of the phone. They swapped my phone immediately, and the phone didn't rattle.

When I went to get my Verizon phone, I make them let me gently shake it before they even turned it on to activate to make sure I didn't have that problem - the phone was fine. Frankly, between the no rattling and the feel of the buttons, my V phone seems like it's better made and more solid, but again, on AT&T not all phones are created equal either.

It may be the camera, but it may not be. In my case, they said something was definitely wrong and swapped it asap. I would take it in and let them look at it just in case - that way if there is something wrong that will eventually cause a functionality problem, they can't blame it on something you did. Hope this helps.:)
