The screen is secured to the front piece. So the only way to get it is with the screen attached which is like $150 not to mention you have to disassemble the entire phone to do the front.

Have you experienced any light leakage?

I was wondering this as well with the rumors floating about that the reason why Apple didn't release the white is because of light leak.

I would imagine that most of the leak would come from the front of the phone if it was white. I actually think if the back lit up it would be sweet LOL

Why didn't you also get the front peice, it's $74.

For me I like the contrast of the black front/white back. The all white front is just a tad too much (pretentious). Also you will get higher video contrast with black surrounding your LCD display.

that is why i didnt wait on the white one... i would hate having a white front

LOL. What he meant was that if it was just the glass then why did they list it under a specific color? Which raised a good question.

I've fired an email off to them to ask them to clarify. I thought it was another one of the colour only bits that are everywhere..

cuz there is black glass and white glass...ya gotta differentiate colours man.

Ya but I think you are missing the point. As mentioned above earlier in this thread a website is offering the glass backing for only $20. Being so cheap we all assumed that it is just the glass and no coloring behind it. But then why do they have them listed under a specific color?

Um the glass is attached to a panel. You don't just screw the screws into the glass.

OMG seriously...the glass is clear obviously, then it is silk screened either white or black and then it is attatched to the panel black for black painted glass and white for white painted glass. is this concept so difficult...the glass which is painted is what makes the colour the panel/bezel piece is how it attatches to the frame.

How much did you pay with shipping. Can please get a closer photo at the flash pleaseeeeeeee:D
