i ordered it on the 29th of july and got it today. but i live in houston texas and the store is located in san antonio texas (about a 2 hour drive) they get it shipped to there location in texas from somewhere else, cant remember where.

When did you order yours? I ordered mines on August 5th and paid 89.79. I'm sure they will revise your price if you call them.
I didn't read the whole thread, just the first page, but this is very cool. I especially like it with the black bumper on it. I'm tempted to do it myself but the link to the website that sells the part won't load so I'm a little skeptical now.
Edit: And I have a semi-relevant, semi-stupid question to add. How is this possible if Apple is having/had trouble making the white iPhone? In other words, how are there white aftermarket parts available already?

Why does this thread have so many posts? To get a white back, all you need to do is unscrew the bottom two screws, simply SLIDE off the black one and then slide on the white one. Of course he didn't get a white front, that's an extremely complicated process.
Likely because it is the only or one of the only threads like this. And you make a good point that somehow didn't even cross my mind when considering doing this to my phone.
Because people are interested in quality as well. Like if the missing diffuser is an issue.
Probably, yes. If I were a millionaire, I'd buy a white kit + white headphone jack and dock connector. But since I'm not, I'll make due with the black one until/if the white one comes out.
They changed the price to $104.99 and the rep from Globaldirectparts told me that they made a mistake. I wonder if someone from the forum bought one under that price.
I just went on the site and yes its back to $104.99, now I'm glad I got mine last week for $89.
