Myspace truly is a horrible website. Every time I log in and check "remember me", it will ask me to log in ten minutes later. The site also seems to be down a lot. It also has a tendency to log up Safari sometimes (only if people put too much crap in their page). Here's a little hint for some myspace users: don't put light blue text on a aqua blue background.

myspace is junk... facebook is better if your in college and makes more sense to keep in touch with new college friends you may make and what not

Kinda hard to see the black text on the gray at the bottom, but I like the simplicity. Looks better than most of the custom ones I've seen. Yeah, I know, that's not saying much, but you know what I mean. Mine is just the default cuz I'm lazy.

I've updated mine quite a bit since I posted a few months ago. Even added some new pics. But they're the same as the ones in the pics thread, so if you've seen those, you aren't missing much. One of these days I might add some real pics and my music. That's what I'm using it for these days mostly, music. And a little dating :D but so far that's been kinda scary.

I've got a million friends! XP

if you look at some people's spaces they literally do have pages and pages of photos of people they have never met who are supposedly friends. In the end, your lucky if you can count your friends on one hand, myspace seems to me to be simply a way to prove how "cool" you are. wow people like to be liked. A friend of mine who has a space gets randomers asking if they can be his friend because his space looks "cool", he declines...naturally.

Ah you can hate, but it's still fun for people who have lots of real life friends on there. And in fact, I've met a lot of interesting people off MySpace who've actually become my friends. Regardless of what you think of it, it's just like any other place online that offers communication, this one is simply more popular.

I don't hate it by any means, I just think that it causes another methed by which people can join the 'i know more people than you brigade'.

Facebook seems to be a better option

well yeah but you can only get a facebook account if you have a college student email address, not only that but it has to be a college recognized by the site. myspace is way more accessible.

some people have suggested to me that it is precisely that fact, which appeals to them most...they meet people through it who are doing the same things as them, and it is easy to meet up in person.

I don't like MySpace. There are to many lying people and most of the accounts have god awful profiles that hurt to look at.

I am on the facebook which keeps you limited somewhat to your own university and doesn't have so much spam, but I don't use it much.

Mine is this. Myspace is OK, but it would be a hell of a lot better if it could handle all the bandwidth.

That's definitely not going to lock up any browser like that, being set to private, even though practically anything is possible on MySpace. :D I'm glad that you're being safe. I've found too many with their full names on their pages, with enough other information that someone could end up walking up to their door without a lot of problem in getting the address.

There is just something about a real life woman. Maybe it's 'cause you don't see them in a reflection of a mirror with a bright flash going off. Maybe it's even the ability to kiss flesh and not an LCD/CRT...

Yes, myspace was cool. I received a phone call from Mature. They said I was welcome to join, so I did.

Cheers.

Oh God I hate myspace! It is the downfall of society! All those young kids who make a myspace because they want to be preyed upon! Alert the media! Myspace kills! If you go on myspace you will be raped and abducted!

Don't completely ignore it. Unfortunately, there is something to it, though it's not nearly as bad as the media and parents make it out to be. If you have your full name on your profile, that's way too much. You approve someone's random friend request and they can put things together.

Of course, even pure blogging sites can be too informative since you can see more than just who visited.
