i haven't figured out what name to take so i keep the number.. is fine with me i don't know anybody on the site anyways.. kinda funny how it writes "Takao has 0 Friends" with a red zero .. no wonder people go crazy and want to add a lot of people

the editing of the profile is a pain in the a.. .. you need to click like 20 times and everything is all over the place and plastered with ads

Their sister, too.

It was on the news again last night. Some woman met four men through MySpace and she said that she was raped by them.

I just found out today that my sister uses it, so... yeah.

(I really hope she didn't put any sexy pics of herself up, because I just couldn't handle that)

Oh, MYSPACE!

Yikes.. all this time I wasn't really paying attention and I thought we were all talking about another, similar site... Piczo.

THAT is the pinnacle of annoyingness.

I had MySpace for a while, but realized it was really stupid and had my account removed

The last few times I've gone out for a drink and met a few ladies Myspace always seemed to come up. Some of them say "Oh, you're not on myspace?" in the same kind of voice they'd use to say "Oh, you live in a cave and rub sticks together to make fire?".

I don't see the attraction in it....and what's with all these people posting scandalous pics of themselves? I looked up a couple girls I knew back in High School and in college and their Myspace pictures were of them in their underwear..what kind of weird trend is that? I'm sure they don't want to see me doing that.

LMFAO. OMG. That is hilarious. It's so true too. Most people I know are on Myspace. However, I have refused to be. I am protesting the biggest trend on social networking. Down with Myspace!!!!!

Ditto. That and it's become the hottest thing for stalkers.

I just found out that my 14 year old neice is addicted to myspace. I'm not very happy about that, but cannot seem to convey the pointlessness of it to her parents.

I have found it is easier to keep in touch with people on MySpace. First of all, I'm not much of a phone talking guy. Secondly, many of my good friends are a good distance away (ie: Japan, Denver, etc). Third, if anything ever happens to me that I want to share with people, I only make one bulletin entry rather than make 15 phone calls. Finally, it gives me a place to post my various musings (which are usually little more than "what has pissed James off today" blogs).

In and of itself, it's not a bad thing. Nice place to blog and share with friends. You might want to warn her of the dangers if she doesn't already know though. Might get a few  's, but I'm sure you already knew that.

On the plus side, the girl from the club did e-mail me back via MySpace the other day. :D She's been out of town for her Birthday. Told me she'd see me at the band's next concert in L.A. and to thank me for supporting her friends. It's not much, but it's something. Thank you MySpace!

So I was exceedingly bored today with nothing else to do so I screwed around with my profile all day and I think I ended up with something a bit more pleasing. The only problem is when I put the URL for my friends in the code, Safari screws up the images and I'm not sure why (you'll see which one I'm talking about). Other browsers seem fine its just Safari. Grr.

Anyhoo: http://www.myspace.com/i_h8myspace

Edit: It seems to be every internal Myspace link that Safari screws up. Click on one of them and when the page loads it'll disappear. Gotta love the quality code they put up on this site.

Edit2: Frack, its happening with Firefox too. All I'm using is a simple rollover stylesheet, grr. I'll mess with it tomorrow, its almost midnight here, gaa...

Nice tunes! Listening to them while doing a little work.

Thank you!
Actually, MySpace helped get me a showcase for Artemis and V2 Records last month.

Garageband + MySpace = fame and fortune, apparently. :p
(the show is up on helloworld.com)

I used to have a myspace account but closed it down, I don't know anyone that has one, isn't messenger enough wait of time?

Think I fixed it for now.
Still showing up weird in FireFox. If at all. This is why I just use the default. Boring, I know, but at least it's simple.

FF keeps crashing on me when I go to some MySpace pages. It seems to be getting worse too. According to Google, it's not just me. I still like it though, even if it sucks sometimes.

i have a myspace account, but i never use it, and have probably 3-4 friends (who requested and i accepted) on it. today i got an email with a new friend request (from someone i know in real life). i accepted. immediately after doing this, i got 5 friend requests from obvious spam/porn accounts. i have since gotten another one.

what the hell causes this? the security on that site is ass apparently.

The Browse function is pretty open. They probably use a web crawler to look through the selected profiles to see who's logged in lately. I thought that it had to do with my age, but a 19 y.o. friend has gotten them, too.

Apparently, Friendster is a target now, too.

Actually prefer Facebook over myspace because its more structured and since it is more school based it has come in handy when trying to get ahold of people from classes that I might have missed. Also I like their no limit on the number of pictures you can post.

I have a myspace account and got really into it last summer though, haven't done much with it recently. Check about once a day to see the new pointless surveys my friends do and to maybe do a blog. Thats about it.

Besides without myspace though how woud you waste time at work?...oh yeah, MR
