I installed this today (used extensively on 3.1.3 prior) I found that it wreaked havoc on my Springboard as I could no longer launch applications (locked up springboard) and on those that I could lanch via the quick dock, the buttons within the app didn't work.

The wifi functionality worked however and I got my springboard back after shutting down mywi and re-booting.

Lots of bugs, but can't wait for full version!!

Edit: I removed MyWi4 and still am having the springboard lockup problems. There is a chance that my jailbreak is corrupt and it is not due to MyWi at all. Restoring as I type.

It seems like this time around with Rock it's not such a big deal if all you are doing is installing MyWi 4.0. It's not installing Rock Extensions, which I believe was the real culprit for those of us experiencing conflicts with MS. If Rock is just going on the phone to manage the license, I'm okay with that!

Just restored, now looking to see if MyWi really was the cause of my springboard locking.

scirica: There was an issue with libstatusbar & locking up SB. We worked with the dev phoenix3200 to resolve the issues. We later decided to simply go with our own (released previously) to prevent any future issues.

I believe the latest (4.3.4) will resolve any issues with connectivity and MyWi 4.0. Enjoy!

I had MyWi (no Rock) on my phone with 3.12. Now, I've downloaded MyWi 4 but I have no license on Rock for this program. So do I have to wait till a MyWi (no rock) is released, or is there a way to point them to my (no rock) license?

EDIT: NEVERMIND Sorry to take up space.

You need to buy the upgrade. MyWi 4 is not a free upgrade, and requires a new license (it's half price for MyWi 3 users).

Enjoying Mywi 4 on vacation on a private island
Got tired of reading so I turned on tethering on my phone so I could send a quick reply
Yup it's worth the $20

So has anyone compared this to the 3.x release and found significant improvement in speed/performance/battery?

I'm glad to see that Rock no longer requires the installation of Rock Extensions. The RockApp itself can be thoroughly uninstalled and doesn't really cause any problems. I'm running the trial now with no issues on my JB 3GS. It works great, and I'm getting 3Mbps+ via 3G tethered over WiFi here at my home, with a 3G signal of about dBm -85. Incidentally, this is about double what I get via 3G on my phone itself.

Nice, so no probs so far?
You uninstalled rock and rock extensions and only kept mywi?

No, that's my point: installing MyWi 4 and Rock no longer installs Rock Extensions. I never would have installed it if it did. Rock itself is no problem, and it seems to have uninstalled fine. MiWi is working fine without it.

Did you uninstall via SSH? I tried to uninstall Rock only via Cydia and it was going to uninstall MyWi at the same time. I'd like to get rid of that eyesore even though it's not doing anything.
