i was checking "iPad Accessories" section and i saw alot of post about screen protectors and iPad case questions..

I'm useing my iPad with no case because i don't like extra thickness and it looks way better without it. So i'm just wondering how many of you guy use you iPad just like that without using any iPad case.

Thanks

I currently use my iPad with only a 3M vinyl back covering (that di-noc stuff that imitates carbon fibre). But this may change in the near future - I'm working on making something like a Dodo case, but a bit more specialised.

At home I use a silicon cover for the back and a screen protector, when I'm out I like to use a case.

I don't use a case for my iPad or my iPhone 4, I just love the way they look and feel too much. Although I do have a leather case for when I take my iPad out of the house.

I like it naked

I like my iPad to be naked.
Just a leather sleave (Knomo) when I put the iPad in my bag to take him to clients.

I now use a case at all times (Piel Frama).

Had tried naked use for a while, but didn't like how the thumb of my holding hand would occasionally interfere with the screen. This doesn't happen with a case on as the bezel is raised.

I use one if those overpriced transparent plastic things to cover the back and sides. This lets me hold it steady in my sweaty hand and slip it into a leather slipcase (Targus Hughes) when I'm in the mood to look businesslike. It looks pretty naked otherwise.

I loved the Apple case but cleaning it became a pain in the arse.

I used to be all about using my iPad without a case. However, I don't want to have to sit my iPad gently on a table, I would like to slide it on a table or even slightly drop it.

With that said, I picked up the Apple iPad case and I am extremely happy. I provides a decent amount of grip, which makes my hands happy when reading for long periods of time. It has a nice typing angle, and I do a lot of typing on the iPad. Then, it also has a nice viewing stand for watching movies or just browsing the Internet when I am on my PC playing games. Lastly, it adds so little thickness to the iPad it's ridiculous. There are a lot of other cases that do more, but they also add to the iPad.

I wanted a case that still held true to the iPad design, and I think I have found the perfect one for me.

I use mine naked. I am careful with my electronics and don't feel I need the extra protection. I have used the Belkin Grip Vue and it just adds unwanted bulk.

I liked mine naked, but my 3 year old spends too much time with it for that to be safe.

I'm with the previous poster: I carry my iPad in a sleeve but use it naked. It just looks and feels so much nicer. With my iPhone, I don't use a case at all.

while at home i uses the iPad sans-case but while in work or out in the field i like to keep it in the apple case.

The book-like design of the case is useful at work as i am always going back and fourth between the studio and office. I use the iPad as my organiser, address book and todo list as well as photo viewer so it will always be in my hands in these situations.

While out in the field it will mostly be in a bag and a cover over the screen would help prevent scratches.

I do have to say it is more comfortable to use out of the case unless you are typing at a desk.

Used it without a case for a while, but have since gotten the Apple case. It is not a lot of extra bulk, makes it easier to hold on to, and I can toss it into a drawer in the RV without a lot of anxiety.

Well, I had an Apple Case day 1 (April 3rd, 2010) but no screen protector. I got a scratch on my screen last week (Aug 20th, 2010) and instantly bought a crystal film screen protector.

I will never own an iPad without a screen protector again. Now, I got a discolored line of pixels in the bottom right. But it's not that bad.

I carry my iPad in a sleeve, but use it naked except for a bestskinsever that covers the back. I had a bestskinsever on the front but took it off as I thought it looked awful.

I would honestly like my iPad a lot lot less without the Apple case.

It makes it easier to hold and use, protects it and keeps it very very thin. LOVE IT.

Don't get me wrong my iPad looks WAAAYYYY cooler without a case but that little black apple on the back? Yeah it's never been touched and I expect it to stay that way.

I use it naked and carry it in a sleeve. However, I'd love to get one of those $100 Piel Frama leather cases from Spain. :)

Same here, except I carry it in the Incase Book Case. My iPhone has protective films though, as well as my MacBook and iPad. However when picking up my keys, they latched on to a wrench and swung it across my bed onto my iPad. The film cracked but the screen was safe thank goodness. Now I gotta pony up $20 because I don't think SGP covers accidents :(

Leather MEdge Page Sleeve here, with DecalGirl matte finish skins front and back to make it easier to grip, no screen protectors. The DG skins are about as thin as paper, maybe less, so it doesn't interfere with using the fitted sleeve, and the front one reminds me of where the edge of the bezel ends so I place my fingers appropriately.

After spending the week with four relatives who had the Apple case on their iPads, I'm even happier to use my naked one. Every time I picked up one of theirs, the utter filth on that Apple case made my skin crawl. Even when freshly cleaned, they were picking up dust and lint within moments. I understand in the beginning there was nothing else available, but there are FAR better cases out there now if one really needs a case, and I just don't get the adoration for that one. To each his own, I guess!

Mine's naked except for the Invisible Shield on front and back. I carry it around inside an old neoprene netbook sleeve in my purse with a large iKlear microfiber cloth. When I use it on my desk at work or nightstand before bed, I just set it on the microfiber cloth.

I'd really like to get a Marware Ecovue case, but I have to figure out if it'll still fit in the Cocoon Innovations Gramercy Messenger iPad bag I have arriving today.

On the couch, it's easier to handle, prop up, etc naked. For landscape typing, I just prop it on a couch arm or on my lap.

I'm in the nudist camp, a little vinyl on the back, screen protection up front and a neoprene case when one must cover up. Even a nudist needs a bit of sun screen.

I use a skin (best skins ever brand), front and back, on mine.
Sooner or later I would have gotten a scratch and it's less slippery.

I actually purchased the Apple case with mine, but wish I hadn't. I don't like it and never use it.

I like my iPad at home like I like my women....NAKED!

Except when I leave the house, then throw a little cover on :)
