I'm using the Apple case, tried several others but didn't like the extra bulk. The Apple case adds nothing, except the extra functionality. I like the typing stand as I use my iPad in business meetings. I would never cary it naked...

I like the iPad naked, but I usually want a case for protection. So I got a Marware Eco Vue, which is great because it's super easy to get the iPad in and out of the case.

I don't use a case. I bought one and I hated it. My 2 yr old daughter uses my iPad a lot and beat it to hell, but I still like it better :)

I really want to get that case -- it looks like the best of a bunch that I've read reviews on. My Cocoon Gramercy iPad bag came in today and it's *tiny*. So if you have a naked iPad it fits, but my iPhone 4 with thin silicone skin wouldn't even fit in the front iPhone pocket. Not excited about the lack of padding in the iPad pocket either -- you would need to *very gently* set it down every time you put the bag down otherwise expect dents.

Looks like it's going back and I'm going to get a Marware EcoVue case. :)

Naked. iPads are too pretty to keep covered up. In cases, they look like such dead objects to me. There is something about that bright aluminum slung about the bezel that lures me to pick the iPad up every time I see it.

Original slim Apple Neoprene cover plus a antiglare foile on the screen. That keeps also the fingerprints under control.
Don't really like all those leather cover, they make it too thick

I would love to be able to do that, but I live in a house with two cats, one dog, two dinosaurs and 5 birds (which are allowed out occasionally), accidents happen. Just the other day I walked into my bedroom and one of my cats had made himself comfortable on my ipad, if I didn't have a screen protector and the silicon cover it would probably have scratches by now.

I used to keep a neoprene cover on for protection and non-slip, then pop it in a zip-up cover when taking it out.

I got a Macally Bookstand case recently, which is now the case I use when out and about (protects, supports, conceals - it's like a bra) and use it naked when at home (it's like a... yeah).

Traveling use case, otherwise no need for me. I don't put plastic slip covers on my sofa either. When it comes down to it, it isn't an heirloom device. I'll use it a year or so and move on.

What kind of dinosaurs do you have? :D

i was checking "iPad Accessories" section and i saw alot of post about screen protectors and iPad case questions..

I'm useing my iPad with no case because i don't like extra thickness and it looks way better without it. So i'm just wondering how many of you guy use you iPad just like that without using any iPad case.

Thanks

Recipe for diaster.

I put it into a switch easy nude case on day one. I take it out occasionally, but I wouldn't have it out consistently as the aluminum back scratches far too easily. I'm proud to say I don't have a single scratch.

I'd love to use my ipad naked but the only thing that stops me from doing so is that I need to use it to type. I use it to take notes in class. How do those of you who use it to type do so without it being at an angle?

I only purchased my iPad 3 weeks ago and for the first week, I didn't use anything on it. But my sister tends to use it a lot when I'm out and about and she is exceptionally clumsy and drops pretty much anything. So I went to Apple and purchased a case, and I got 5 screen protectors on eBay for 99p.

I'm mainly going to be using my iPad in January when I start my Master's, so although the iPad looks better naked, I would prefer it was protected while in my bag and in lectures etc.

Here's a solution to that problem. The Reveal for iPad case. Viewable like it was naked, but still offering some protection:

I had considered going naked even though I'd always used a case since day one. Just last night, I dropped my iPad for the first time on a hardwood floor from about 3.5 feet up. Very, very glad I had a case. Also partially dropped on my foot, so I'm glad I was able to soften the blow. Oh the sacrifices we endure for our gadgets... lol

I prefer my ipad to be semi naked, with only invisiable shields on front and back, I really loved the way it felt on my hand. Sadly my 5 and 8 yr olds discovered my new toy and now my ipad is wearing armor(Otterbox Defender):( although it now feels bulky it has been able to survive several drops, a few spills, and even a couple of slams:eek: due to someone being cranky because it was their bed times.

Going naked with the ipad is so much better. It makes me appreciate my ipads sleek smooth design and feels ultra thin in my hand without any covers.

I trust myself in taking care of my electronics. When needed, I have a 10inch netbook book carrying bag that I Place my ipad in. I also have a clear plastic back case and the apple case.

Nothing beats going commando.

I am naked when i'm using mine, does that count. No but i always not use cases for any kind of electronics devices. These days they are just to well designed and the look of it would be ruined by a case. I actually cringe whenever i see a phone, no matter which brand, in a case. Fair enough, you might drop it, scratch it or whatever, but honestly, if you just exercise a bit of caution you should be fine. Actually, screw caution, I'm going 2.5 years strong on my iPhone and it still looks extremely fine, a bit of scratches on the back, but just shows that it has been used.

Unless of course you have children and/or pets, then using a case might be a valid choice of life :)
