Whenever the Simpsons use a computer it has the Mac look--the interface anyway. When Homer did his "work from home" thing his computer "gonged" when he turned it on.QUOTE]

As a general rule of another thumb, the Simpsons writing team are generally Mac fans, but this is nothing compared to Mac fan club that makes up the Futurama production staff, especially David X Cohen. Each of the four series have positive Mac references throughout, be it through on screen Apple II images, technology start-up bongs or on the outer space stock exchange with the following two stock prices rolled by on a display, ring any bells:

.... MSW -14 ... OSX +24 ...

I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Buffy the Vampire Slayer!
Willow uses an old Powerbook in the older seasons, but in the newer ones she uses a new iBook!

Hehe, I was going to say that if no one had!

On Angel (Another Jos Whedon series) they have a G4 Cube running on its side in Fred's lab next to a 20something inch Apple Flat Panel Display.

And in the BTVS episode where she starts as the guidance counselor, she has an iMac FP on her desk.

hello computer...

Star Trek IV - where scotty speaks into a mouse of a mac plus
and if i remember my teenage years properly...
Beverly Hills 90210 - Brendan used a power book

Yes Dear had a PowerBook that they actually used to look up something on the internet that was part of the plot.

Yet More

Jurassic Park - Old machine
Spooks (UK) - Loads, mac heaven
Buffy - Macs for good guys, PC's for villians
Idependence Day - Powerbook G3, why didn't he use the airport to send the virus?
Watchdog - (UK) IMac 17" BBC Consumer rights programme
Tomorrows World - (UK) IMac 17" Technology programme
Good Food Live - (UK) IMac 17" Cooking programme

I always say 'MAC' when I see one on TV and this is usually at least once a night. Done it so often that friends of mine do it now without even thinking. They're everywhere!

Of special note the iMac's in the newspaper office in smallville are actually empty. Becouse they are see through you can see right through where the back of the CRT should be :) - well in the first series or so anyway.

and probably the worst use of a mac in a movie/tv show:

Zoolander

(for those of you who haven't seen it, Owen Wilson throws a tangerine iMac onto the runway at a fashion show from fairly high up)

"where are all the files?" .... LOL

I already thought noone would mention it...

In one episode the principal of Sunnydale High walks into his garage with Spike to fight him. In a corner there's a Power Mac G4 standing with a (23"?) display and he starts iTunes to play a song which plays through the fight.

Don't forget the opening of one episode where it states "Bender's Jokes provided by Microsoft Joke" obviously referring to M$ being a Joke.

Other Shows/Movies:

Charmed
Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
Austin Powers 2&3
Home Improvement
Just Shoot Me
The Real World

:) i do that too. it drives my husband nuts every time i say "there's a mac" when we're watching tv or at a movie. he thinks i'm a total freak about macs. oh well.

oh, i was going to say stuck on you, and buffy (the imac when she was a counselor at the high school). sex in the city, of course - miranda uses a newer powerbook than carrie. although aidan bought her a clamshell ibook at one point in an earlier season, but in the final season she's back to using the black (wall street?) powerbook. i wonder if she ebayed the ibook? :D

You can spot Macs in 'Runaway Jury'. Gene Hackman’s secret control center appears to have numerous Mac displays and the character John Cusak is playing does his dirty work at home on an iMac.

The goofiest line in the movie comes when Cusak refers to critical files he's stored on his “mp3 player”, rather than calling the device by the name everyone knows it as - an iPod.

lots of commercials

Any commercial that has a computer in it, other than dell commercials. They are either TiBooks or the new iMac.

Movies & Commericals

Gals & Guys,

What about Legally Blonde 1 & 2, she uses MAC's.
In Canada, we have a wireless company, Fido, the president is sitting in front of a Mac PB 17".
Spike TV has one of their commericals that show a PB, with the Apple Logo.
Bringing down the House, Steve Martin uses a MAC PB.
Dr. Phil shows him using and communicating with his guests using the iSight on various iMac's.

Just my two cents, or 1.67 cents Canadian

How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days had them all over the chicks mag office.

Doonesbury uses a Mac interface when it simulates a computer screen. But then again, like 90% of print ads use a fake mac interface when simulating a computer screen that's not specific to the ad.

In You've Got Mail, Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan email each other with Macintosh computers. I have no idea what models, though.
