OUTFOXED: Rupert Murdoch's War on Journalism (I dont think it was placed)

you can always tell who the hero/villain is based on what OS they use. The bad guys always use Windows, and the good guys always use Apple. :)

America's Test Kitchen, a cooking show on PBS, prominently features an iMac G4 on the counter in the background. And when they are shilling their website, it's displayed on a 20" Cinema Display.

They lose points though for coding their website in ASP and running it on an NT server.

I've read the posts rather quickly, but I think no one has mentioned these:

The beach: In the last scene Leo walks into an internet cafe that has the old iMacs and uses one to check his emails.

About a boy: Hugh Grant has a Cube and a (I think) 17" Cinema display.

Alright.. heh this one my aunt had on one day for my cousin and I happened to watch it..

Zoe 101 on Nickelodeon with that Jamie Lynn Spears girl. She uses an ibook with her school logo over the apple.

There are tons of Macs in Fever Pitch. Like in the office there are 23 inch displays all over the place and she gets hit in the face while typing on her 15 inch Powerbook.

On some shows, the good guys use Macs and the bad guys use PCs.

On Buffy and Angel, the good guys end up using iBooks/iMacs and the bad guys use PowerMacs :)

On Buffy, Willow had about every generation PowerBook from a 3400 (or similar) to a Lombard/Pismo WITH the rare blue-and white LCD Studio Display (and maybe a blue-and-white tower too). At school she used generic PCs.... but they always ran Mac OS :) Angel is glad they still used floppy drives...

Willow ended up with an Airport-equipped 14" iBook that they all shared, and Buffy and her boss both had 20" iMac G4s. At home, her boss had a PowerMac of some kind.

The Evil Trio used PowerMac G4s and heaps of huge Cinema Displays.

And on Angel, I've seen G4 Cubes and Cinema Displays at W&H.

On the software side, both classic Mac OS and OS X were used, and the browser of choice seemed to be IE5.

Most importantly, iTunes played a pivotal role in the final season of Buffy :)

And of course, the Buffybot was Mac-compatible. Its creator used Macs, and an iBook was used to control it.

Sadly, Macs on Buffy tend to meet bad ends. Hope they had backups.

Now you know....

They use macs on Alias a lot - with a big red dot over the apple logo. You would think, that, for CIA agents, they would come up with something that looked a little more sophisticated/high-tech, but whatever. unfortunately, they also use dells a lot. Also, Town Haul (TLC) - the whole design team uses macs, and same with extreme makeover home edition.

I'm surprised it took till Page 6 for this one to come out! I did notice that page 1 mentioned Alias once... but season 4 every episode has Mac's! There are lots of PBs, Sidney also had an iMac in her bedroom, plus I recall seeing an iPod or two as well.

Australian Idol also used to show a PB every week - when the music guy was working with the Idols on their songs for the live show each week.

Since I switched last year I seem to be noticing more and more of them - we are everywhere!

Until 2 posts up I had one movie for you guys: The Hulk (2003)

TV:

One Tree Hill - Fox
The character "Peyton", played by Hilarie Burton, has a 20" ACD (plastic). Ivaguely remember an iBook and a PB at different times during the show too. The Apple logo has been covered everytime.

Call For Help 2.0 - G4TechTV Canada
iMac G5 and PB's used by cast

OK, 2 that I've just seen. I think there was an iMac G5 in The Island, but probably not, considering just how M$ised it was in the way of advertising (would have been nice, except they kept on zooming in on brandnames so that you knew precisly who and what was helping fund the movie)

And there are many a Mac in Silent Witness (crime drama)

I saw 8 Simple Rules the other day (shown on UK freeview channel ABC1) - the teenage son has an iMac with iSight.

Most UK home makeover shows/style shows feature either PowerBooks or Sony Vaios if they show a laptop.

Many magazine adverts show an iBook or PowerBook

Also a couple of UK tv adverts showing at the moment feature a PowerBook/iBook, including Virgin trains.

(this is indeed an old thread but what the hell!)

The L Word: Everyone on there uses a Mac! I know nobody here probably watches this show, so you're not gonna know who these people are but...
Bette: G4 iBook
Bette at work: iMac G4, PowerMac G5 with 23 inch Cinema Displays
Alice: G4 15" Powerbook
Helena: G4 17" Powerbook
Mark: 2 G5 PowerMacs with 2 23 inch Cinema Displays
Jenny: G3 Powerbook Pismo
Every cast member has an iPod, iPods are constantly given as gifts. Macs are thrown in your face in almost every single scene. I have never seen a show display more Macs!!!

The Movie Duplex:
Ben Stiller uses a Pismo (Which gets run over by a car)

This list could go on forever!!
