I once had a NASA badge for Cape Canaveral that read "FLIGHT CREW" that allowed me to go any where on the island I wanted to. I spent the whole week showing it off in restaurants and telling people I was an astronaut training to go to Mars.
Island... you mean Merritt Island. Well I bed you could not go inside the teachers lounge at MI with that. If you could, I'd be shocked.

I've had a drug-induced dystonic reaction/ akathisia caused by an anti-nausea drug (metoclopramide). It's in big red letters in all my medical files now to never EVER give me that crap or anything similar.

Yes, Reglan can have some serious side-effects. I usually don't offer it unless nothing else has worked. Zofran works wonders for most people, though you probably won't be trying ANY anti-emetics soon. lol

I have herded cattle on horseback in Australia, seen Father Christmas riding an elephant on an Indian Ocean beach, climbed 7,000 feet to the top of Adam's Peak while tripped out of my skull, and saved a child from drowning in the Thames. :)

I have another one. I saw the shuttle Challenger explode....in person.

I was at Mila Elementary on Merritt Island (KSC is on north Merritt Island) and at the time they would ring the firealarm when a launch was going to happen. I can also remember everyone applauding because we all saw a parachute coming down in the direction of Cocoa Beach. My dad got stadium tickets but he thought it was too cold to go. Actually, we still have the passes.

climbed over twenty five 14,000 foot mountains in Colorado.

Was a stay at home dad for 6 years

2. Been ranked top 150 nationally in USTA tennis.

6. Strung a tennis racket in less that 20 minutes.

9. Get Roger Federer's autograph (famous tennis player)

10. Had a picture of myself on the front page of the sports section in our daily paper, in color, above the fold.

I see you are into tennis. All I can say that 99% percent of the people here have not done, tennis wise, is get severely hammered by a top 100 female singles tennis player.

There was a tennis event where Ivan Lendl was going to play a post-retirement match against some other pros. So my brother law and I saw this girl serving these incredibly fast serves before the venue on an adjacent court.

Being somewhat decent players around B level, we decided to play her and she was happy to have someone hit with her. For a few minutes the two of us hit against her while we talked tennis. Then she wanted to try out some serves. With both of us guys standing on one side, she served balls so fast neither one of us could even touch the ball. I have seen mens college tennis players serve and hers were faster. While I was never good at playing against men who were college players, at least I could take a game or two in a set and hit back their serves, even if into the net. This girl's serves were so fast and had so much spin on them, they were untouchable.

So when we asked her who the hell she was and if she was a top college player, she said she was a pro, but only ranked around #100 in the world. People like Martina and Steffi usually beat her on tour. This is such a big thread, I hope I didn't repeat this story. I sure wish I got her name, or remember it if she told us.

That doesn't sound too great either :(. Dystonia alone is a lot to handle, but with akathisia as well, if it was anything like some of the descriptions I've read, then wow... I'm sorry to hear that...

And ouch  :) (with your doctor), well hopefully she made a note not to prescribe that stuff as often to her patients :)
It really was horrible. I felt out of control in a way I could barely handle. I'm sure I looked batshyte insane too, all flailing around and pleading for them to make it stop. I was never so pleased to see a benzodiazepine go into an IV.

I'm always glad to hear medical staff being more cautious with that stuff. I know reactions like mine aren't that common but they're common enough and horrible enough that I wonder why doctors take the risk when there are better things out there.

I'm really careful with any anti-emetics now and question anything I'm offered in hospitals or what have you. I can take Zofran just fine (have a prescription for the 8mg ODTs) but a small amount of cannabis works just as well really, if a bit controversial.

Name things you have done that 99% of people on this forum haven't done

I have registered for MacRumors and gotten a user number ending in 49.

As of the time of this post there are 383300 MacRumors registrations and only 3833 of them have user numbers ending in 49, meaning that 379467 users have registered but not gotten a user number ending in 49. You can check that 379467/383300 = 0.99.

Therefore, I've done something that exactly 99% of people on this forum have not done. Do I win a prize?

I have...

Had my haircut inside the pentagon from age 11 to age 13.

Hiked to the top of Bridger Bowl, MT in early September to snowboard on a few inches of snow. Talking about a MOUNTAIN here, not a little hill.

Shot a telephone pole in half with my cousins and their high-powered firearms. (Dont worry, it was out of commission)

SCUBA night dive with Manta Rays (If you are ever diving in HI, go to Jacks Locker and do the Manta Night dive. UNREAL)

Coming from Montana, I can appreciate that...only ever climbed to the top of Bridger during the season though, so there was a few feet of snow...:D

Here's mine: piloted the very first plane I ever flew on.
