I think both the rounded corners and the thinness will help prevent the larger iPhone 6 model from feeling bulky. But I won't know for certain until I finally get to hold one.

Looks amazing (minus the protruding camera) but is there anything we DON'T know at this point?

Just curious, to those who remember the last couple years of iPhone rumors, were there ANY surprises left by the time the official iPhone announcement happened? (I did not start following rumors until this year.)

Ois?

Seems like this topic has dropped off the face of the earth, but weren't there rumors a while back that the iPhone 6 would have optical image stabilization, and then everyone poo-pooed it bc it would have to have a protruding lens based on the dimensions people were estimating?

So does this mean OIS is back on the table? I would be on board with a protruding lens if it meant OIS. Also I need a case for work so it doesn't really matter to me either way.

Now the hard part is deciding what color I want. I had a black 5 and 5S, but that black display is so gorgeous. The problem is, I want the gold or silver 6 for a change

Looks ok, Kinda nice in a way, but not for me. Just updated in Jan. So renewal time next fall for the 6S. :)

Then it doesn't matter at all what the phone looks like. Then they could just make it out of plastic since no one would notice a difference, since 60+% use a case according to you. Why pay more for the metal body then?

Apple is known for its design. I bet if you see a Samsung device you say "Lol it is made out of plastic", but since you put a plastic casing around it it doesn't even matter. Since Apple goes for premium design, the bands should be more subtle (to my taste at least). But heck, I'm not a fan of the rounded edges either.

Ever since the first iPhone I told myself every year 'next year I will get one'. But then when I finally decided to buy a smartphone, I bought a Nexus 5 for good price/quality. Couldn't imagine dropping a €900+ iPhone and shattering its screen!

My point and thoughts exactly.

How does the phone sit flat on the table if the camera protrudes?

Fingers crossed that Apple has a few tricks up its sleeve and the protruding camera only projects out when the camera is in use. One can only hope.

Yes, awful design choice.

Second, why is this the largest 4.7" phone on the market?? It is massive compared to the iPhone5, because Apple need to keep that huge bezel.

Any Russians here? It would be nice to have subtitles, although I assume they're telling us nothing new

you can get captions if you click on the bottom right of the video. Google does something to the audio and translates it into English text.

The chamfered edge on the 5 was nice but a pita with the durability, I'm glad apple *seems* to have done away with it on the 6:)

Still not loving the protruding camera, but I do like this far more than most mockups and images we've scene.

Those antenna breaks looks like crap.
It's nice and thin though, but when put beside the 5S in the video, I still think the 5S is a more beautiful piece of hardware.

Now that you point that out, I think so too.

Did anyone else notice the headphone jack has plastic trim instead of chrome?

And whats up with the camera protrusion. I would much rather they made it thicker and flat that did that. Plus the chrome around the camera doesn't integrate into the color of the body.

I'm sure the internals will be great, but design wise, if this is the final product, is the worst designed iPhone yet, in terms of attention to detail.

The 5S looks tons better. I wish they release a pimped up version of that aswell as these big, ugly ass phones. For everyone not wanting huge and protruding.
