iPhone 6S specs (you heard it here folks):

Flush fitting camera.

Color matched antenna bands.

Real sapphire.

And last but not least, 2gb ram. :D

I think there might be a few surprises/changes, but most of the things we'll know already so *shrug*. But bring it on. Seeing how companies move forward is good stuff.

The sticking camera lens looks not bad at all

I am intrigued, very interesting. With the date this closed, I guess we can accept this somewhat. It looks stunning and beautiful (the size is alright I suppose), and I noticed two things: lens protruding and antenna lines. If they made it for lens exchangeable, I am happy with it, otherwise it's not a big deal. iPod has the same design too. As about the lines, I wish Apple would color them less obvious or even make it thinner. :D

Now the hard part is deciding what color I want. I had a black 5 and 5S, but that black display is so gorgeous. The problem is, I want the gold or silver 6 for a change

I had a black 3GS, then a white 4, switched back to black with a higher capacity 4, then black 5, then upgraded to the gold 5S because it was "different". Now part of me regrets not getting the black. But, I never seem to learn my lesson. I'll probably end up getting a black 5.5", then something in my head will malfunction and next year I'll think white is a good idea.

Not that either white variation is a poor option in general, it's just not for me.

How does the phone sit flat on the table if the camera protrudes?

Fingers crossed that Apple has a few tricks up its sleeve and the protruding camera only projects out when the camera is in use. One can only hope.

The protruding camera is my only negative when it comes to looks. And it can’t be nice when laying the phone down either. So how can Apple call it thinner when a piece of it is protruding?
I would have gladly accepted a slightly thicker body with an extra 200 to 300mah to even out the back.

For what it's worth, I also think the protruding camera looks quite good! :) Not bad at all. :)

who cares what it looks like when it will annoy the **** out of any user trying to use it when lying (non-)flat on a table. Striking it with one finger (to scroll or do anything) will make it rock back and forth. This would be pathetic!
One won't be able to comfortable read some article when not holding it.
Imagine they did this to the iPad... right... unusable. There is no difference with the phone, especially a larger one, same design flaw (if actually happening).

They can't be serious with this protruding ring. If they actually release it with this anti-feature, they'll have lost all my faith in their (functional)design superiority and aesthetics.

I refuse to believe they've turned this stupid!

Seems like this topic has dropped off the face of the earth, but weren't there rumors a while back that the iPhone 6 would have optical image stabilization, and then everyone poo-pooed it bc it would have to have a protruding lens based on the dimensions people were estimating?

So does this mean OIS is back on the table? I would be on board with a protruding lens if it meant OIS. Also I need a case for work so it doesn't really matter to me either way.

Isn't OIS the only excuse for protruding lens? What else makes the Z index larger? Not megapixels. Maybe a zoom lens but then it would most likely be adjustable which means it wouldn't protrude when off.

Don't know if anyone said this yet, but the headphone jack.... the inner color is gray and not black. I doubt Apple will let that light gray color take away from the lines of the phone. I'm guessing this isn't an actual 1:1 complete parts, as I would bet that Apple would use a black color to mask the jack hole. Jack hole... LOL

I think I might be canceling my contract early and getting one of these. It does look nicer in this video than anywhere else IMO.

Forget the back!

What about the front glass? Oh sexy, it's as curved as Jennifer Lopez butt!

But(t) how are we supposed to stick screen protectors on that 'greatly curved' NON-sapphire glass (the Russian says that it's not sapphire but some kind of compound material).

I'm not impressed, the overall design looks sluggish! Back or front, it's all bad. Is Ive still working for Apple?

I've protected all my iPhones with anti-glare films to improve readability. Now I won't be able to. Great! I love the new iPhone 6 already, not.

I'm guessing that the headphone jack and the internal components it's attached to are from the silver or gold model, but just happens to be the color they were able to get their hands on.

Also, it seems that the lightning port is also missing a trim piece, since the actual component with the terminals on it is not flush with the body. At the end the lightning cable seems to fit properly, so there shouldn't be an issue either way.

I would prefer it flush as well - but not for the sake of levelling it; my phone always goes face down. I agree with thickening it to level it all and throw in more mAh; but the chorus of "it's thicker than last gen...LOL...innovation my ass" from haters pretty much only lets :apple: go one way in this regard IMO.

The protector will probably be sized to the flat portion, or if not made from thermoset plastic or glass, be more like the Bodyguardz-type skin that will conform to the curves.

Also, you don't know for sure it's not sapphire, or at least laminated glass and sapphire.

Or the camera part is about the same thickness as it was in the 5s but Apple's desire for "thinner" results in forcing the protrusion.

In another instance, Apple ejected hardware (the superdrive from iMacs) to be able to deliver the amazingly thin edges of the current generation of iMac. If the camera part makers don't figure out how to significantly thin their deliverable, maybe the camera will get ejected from a future generation of iPhone. And, if so, much as the unpaid PR core spun "just buy an external drive" for those who were not happy about the Superdrive, they'll probably spin "buy a real camera" for those who are unhappy about the camera jettison.
