As a college student, I need this ipad ASAP and been basically waiting for a month already.
The issue is I have a 200$ gift card from Walmart, and I'm tight on cash so it would be very awesome if I can buy it from Walmart. However, even though basically all the other retailers have 50$ discount right now, Walmart is still at 350$, and it's 330$ from a 3rd party seller online. Since the new one would come out in march, I thought walmart would be around 299-279$ during the presidens' day sales (which is around this time), so I waited for a month, but it seems like nothing is happening since its already the weekend. I can't decide what to do right now since I can't find info about presidents' day sales for past years, especially for walmart.
A. Buy from the 3rd party seller for 330$ with gift card.
B. Be safe, buy and pick up from Walmart directly for 350$ with gift card.
C. Buy for 300$ from other retailers and don't use the gift card (save 30$ on paper).
D. Wait couple more weeks, and buy it for a lot cheaper when the new one comes out.
Considering I need the ipad for an engineering class asap, C seems like the smartest choice, however I can't think of any use of the gift card, therefore it will be spent on things I probably don't need so might not be worth it for saving 30-50$ on paper and paying it all with cash.
I also hope to gain some insight on when the new ipad will come out and how much the price will drop on the a16.
