I think that's a decision that at one point made sense, but is starting to make less and less sense as time goes on and I now watch across like 10 or whatever different streaming apps.Basically no, because it's not a technical thing, Netflix don't want to be agregated as part of a broader streaming platform, they want to be self contained. They choose not to be part of "Up next".
Stop using shared account lol. Nobody uses Netflix normally in the same family has that issue.Yes but will it stop logging us out? Every. Single. Time.

I'm often thinking about canceling Netflix these days, and a reminder in the TV app of what I was watching or what new show I need to watch would help keep me subscribed.
I saw somewhere that Just Watch has also done this although I have not tried it out yet.you can use PLEX's up next and multi streamer search.
apple's up next always sends me to the wrong episode. it's becoming more of a sore every day.
Amazon Prime's genius new player only allows fast forward and rewind in 15 second increments.Other apps like Amazon Prime Video continue to use their own interfaces and have not adopted support for the native player.
You are abusing the service with 4 computers, 5 phones, 2 iPad and Apple T . That’s 12 devices. Try to reduce the devices might help.To clarify I meant me and my family, but there do seem to be a lot of people with the same problem.
And it's different from being over the device limit, this is launching the Netflix app on the Apple TV and getting the login startup screen like it's the first time opening it ever.
Same account on 4 computers, 5 phones, and 2 iPads with zero problems. It's only the Apple TV app.
Netflix (and a few other awful apps) have this incredibly user-hostile behavior where, if you don't use the app for some amount of time (something like 2 to 3 weeks) then they log you out.US ???? This maybe isolated to you. I've never been logged out Netflix on my AppleTV. Are you sharing your account or using a shared account?

I don’t think it’s a coincidence that you have that many devices associated with one account and are experiencing difficulties. We, my wife, my daughter and I, share an account between the three of us but in reality only use two devices most of the time to watch on. Netflix knows there’s three account users because we all have our own user profile. We don’t watch Netflix but on three, at most, devices. Netflix knows. They always know who’s using what and when. Try minimizing the devices logged in and see if your issue doesn’t resolve. IIRC the EULA states the max number of devices associated with an account, depending which tier the subscriber is on.I didn't want to hijack the thread, but this isn't a case of too many devices. We're not using them at the same time, that displays a message, that's different than this.
We sit down as a family to watch something together on the Apple TV, open the Netflix app, and it's logged out. This happens every day, it doesn't matter if there's hours or days between. I was mentioning the other devices because we don't have this problem anywhere else, it's not an account issue, it's only on the Apple TV.
Netflix is currently in the process of rolling out an update to its Apple TV app, introducing support for the tvOS 15 player. As noted on Reddit and Twitter (via 9to5Mac), the updated interface began appearing on Apple TVs earlier this week in version 2.1.23 of the app.

The tvOS 15 native player displays show and movie titles in a larger type on the bottom of the screen above the playback bar. There's also an updated information button that displays details about the content, run time, and subtitles, and more.
With this change, there is no longer an option to swipe down to access subtitles, language, sound output settings, and more, as the native tvOS 15 video player interface does not use that layout.
Some other streaming services like HBO Max also use the same native player, so the interface will feel familiar to those who already use apps that support the tvOS 15 player. Other apps like Amazon Prime Video continue to use their own interfaces and have not adopted support for the native player.
Apple TV apps update automatically, so users should begin seeing the updated Netflix interface soon.

What about airplay?

Yeah I liked X-ray. Didn’t use it much but liked it. The UI overall was just meh. Tried too hard to be different.just to whinge about the utter craptastic interface of prime video. iʻd go there more often if it looked nicer and worked better...i love their xray stuff...everything else about their interface is awful.
How tf do I even turn off subtitles?? Horrible interface, it worked perfectly before.I think the swipe down option was better. Now I am usually juat confused trying to change any in-film settings. This is an example of Apple’s sometimes clumsy way of destroying something that worked beautifully. The first tvOS releases a couple of years ago were awesome, swipe down and boom: everything worked. Then, around two years ago, they destroyed the interface by making the highlight color impossible to see. You didn’t know what was highlighted and it became frustrating to use. Now Apple moved everything to the bottom in an effort to make it simple but instead made it very hard to know exactly what all those small symbols really meant and they are also hard to click properly without clicking something you never meant to click. This is with the old remote of course. If they had just kept their original way, everything would’ve been satisfactory.
It's most likely an issue with your AppleTV and not Netflix app. Even the Reddit link you include narrows it down to only one model of Apple hardware device. I've never had Netflix do this to me but I've had other apps do this constantly and it all stopped when I performed a full reset (delete all content and settings) of AppleTV.No shared account. And I'm pretty sure it's a well documented issue for a lot of people.
Our family actually watches way less Netflix now because it's too much of a hassle to log back in every time.
Every AppleTV user I know would watch more Netflix if they integrated into the TV app. Hard to believe keeping their data out of Apple's hands is worth more than their own paying customers' satisfaction.Basically no, because it's not a technical thing, Netflix don't want to be agregated as part of a broader streaming platform, they want to be self contained.
