add me to the list of someone who has never had the Netflix app log out. It works fine on my Apple TV and on every other device that I have.US ???? This maybe isolated to you. I've never been logged out Netflix on my AppleTV. Are you sharing your account or using a shared account?
Yeah, kind of a downgrade. Half the time I try to get to the subtitles toggle, I can’t get the highlight to appear and I can’t toggle it.I think the swipe down option was better. Now I am usually juat confused trying to change any in-film settings. This is an example of Apple’s sometimes clumsy way of destroying something that worked beautifully. The first tvOS releases a couple of years ago were awesome, swipe down and boom: everything worked. Then, around two years ago, they destroyed the interface by making the highlight color impossible to see. You didn’t know what was highlighted and it became frustrating to use. Now Apple moved everything to the bottom in an effort to make it simple but instead made it very hard to know exactly what all those small symbols really meant and they are also hard to click properly without clicking something you never meant to click. This is with the old remote of course. If they had just kept their original way, everything would’ve been satisfactory.
SameAm I the only one who struggles getting to the subtitles toggle with the swipe-up interface, and then getting it to go away again?
I just use Siri instead bc I mess it up a lot, the swipe up is like — okay do I swipe up again to get to the subtitles? Do I need to be careful not to scroll forward on the episode? Just doesn’t work right for me.
We have the same issue - but I don't think it's bad for Netflix until we actually start cancelling our subscriptions. Paying and not watching is the best thing they could ask for.I just want Netflix integrated into the TV app… it honestly only hurts them because Netflix shows go on the back burner for us because they are not apart of the up next so we tend to forget about them
I’ve never in years experienced this issue.Yes but will it stop logging us out? Every. Single. Time.
It’s not bad…just HORRIBLE!Apple should force every app to use this. Some apps' navigation and UI are simply atrociously bad. Looking at you Youtube.
Have you checked that all accounts on all devices…phones,iPads etc. are the same?No shared account. And I'm pretty sure it's a well documented issue for a lot of people.
Our family actually watches way less Netflix now because it's too much of a hassle to log back in every time.
My wife started complaining about this recently. Apparently this happens to her often, but only on our bedroom Apple TV. Never on the one in our living room.To clarify I meant me and my family, but there do seem to be a lot of people with the same problem.
And it's different from being over the device limit, this is launching the Netflix app on the Apple TV and getting the login startup screen like it's the first time opening it ever.
Same account on 4 computers, 5 phones, and 2 iPads with zero problems. It's only the Apple TV app.
Every AppleTV user I know would watch more Netflix if they integrated into the TV app. Hard to believe keeping their data out of Apple's hands is worth more than their own paying customers' satisfaction.
Oh god, the YouTube app on Apple TV is a modern UI disaster. It works as if literally nobody who built it uses or has used it.Apple should force every app to use this. Some apps' navigation and UI are simply atrociously bad. Looking at you Youtube.
The interactive stuff could be tricky on Apple TV. I believe for these shows, Netflix relies on a browser-like technology which isn't available (or allowed) on Apple TV, so we probably won't be seeing this content anytime soon.“Oh wow” — they’re not gonna get much praise for something overdue. Now make it work with your interactive specials. And stop charging extra for 4K, like everyone else.
I agree. My only explanation for such an unusable UI is that I am not the target of the application. It’s not bad…just HORRIBLE!
That's because screens should be forbidden in the bedroomMy wife started complaining about this recently. Apparently this happens to her often, but only on our bedroom Apple TV. Never on the one in our living room.

Stop using shared account lol. Nobody uses Netflix normally in the same family has that issue.
You are making wrong assumptions but at the same time couldn't help but blaming a user who seeks advice. You are abusing the service with 4 computers, 5 phones, 2 iPad and Apple T . That’s 12 devices. Try to reduce the devices might help.
The pre-apps hockey puck was the peak: consistent UX across all services, to some degree; consistent video player UI; easy to navigate. A good 70%+ of all streaming services should fire their UX designers and start over with people who _like_ users. The native player should be enforced for all apps on the platform. As should the atv gui building blocks.
The atv was a pleasure to use in the early days. Everything snappy, smooth and consistent. Somewhere along the way it all became a Wild West with apps mimicking their Android versions, clunky, slow, no scroll inertia not being designed for swipe. What happened? Why get an atv when a cheap China android stick behaves the same.
Which is annoying because they do the integration literally everywhere else. Android TV, Samsung TV etcBasically no, because it's not a technical thing, Netflix don't want to be agregated as part of a broader streaming platform, they want to be self contained. They choose not to be part of "Up next".
I suspect that to be integrated into the Up Next you have to use Apple's payment system.Basically no, because it's not a technical thing, Netflix don't want to be agregated as part of a broader streaming platform, they want to be self contained. They choose not to be part of "Up next".
I don't think it's that. Honestly I think it comes down to a branding/control sort of thing where they want you doing everything in their app. Could also be something related to data, like that Apple wouldn't want them to collect. That said, I think Netflix stuff may show up in Google's Chromecast/TV feed/interface, but that device also has a button that will take you straight to Netflix.I suspect that to be integrated into the Up Next you have to use Apple's payment system.
